For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Guadalupe · 20/12/2008 22:34

Guadalupe · 20/12/2008 22:36

I have just made nigellas breakfast bars for tomorrow. We are leaving early for Kent, a sunday lunch with IL's to exchange presents. The joy.

I can't imagine they are healthy really, I mean there are lots of nuts and seeds but a whole tin of condensed milk.

No, not sorted unfortunatley. We were desperate to complete before christmas but the abbey keep investigating our vendor and taking days to come back with each bit of info and now we wil be lucky to exchange.

They had the cheek to send us a letter today saying our rate had come down. They haven't signed the bloody thing off yet! In the mean time people keep registering interest in our house..

Franny, glad to hear DS1's enjoying being a big bro. It must've been a change for him at first. Gorgeous photos, really lovely!

FrayedKnot · 21/12/2008 01:01

probably a little prematurely as you won;t actually be passing until tomorrow

Have just got home from company christmas "do".

It was pretty crap as these things often are, and when it was time to leave I went to look for DH and found him sitting on the floor hugging a plant pot, outside.

Luckily some friends gave us a lift home as we would have never got a cab with him in that state.

No he is snoring loudly on the sofa, and that's where he is staying!

Ideas for how to amuse a 4.8 year old while I lie limply on a sofa tomorrow, gratefully received.

FrayedKnot · 21/12/2008 01:02

Oh, cracking title, btw

SuperBunny · 21/12/2008 01:08

Fab thread title

Toot, you've been busy in the yurt tonight. And we had visitors.

My day turned into a disaster! My car broke after getting stuck in a pothole. I blocked the traffic, the police came and blocked off more, the towtruck guy tried to bribe me, the police said that's how things work but the police did a report which they will send to me and the officer said, "it says you fell off the shitty city street" and part of my car has fallen off and I can't go out tomorrow. Shit.

SuperBunny · 21/12/2008 01:13

Oh, FK. Someone always does that with the plant pot. Telly will be a good activity tomorrow

SuperBunny · 21/12/2008 01:55

SuperBunny · 21/12/2008 01:56

Apparently not.

This?

TinyWhiteFeather · 21/12/2008 10:31

Oh my life (faint emoticon)....so perhaps I should go with the flow and ask if my pussy can be the yurt mascot?

Goes in search of smelling salts.

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 21/12/2008 10:33

great pix SB, I am so of the santa train.
We are going on one tomorrow in scarborough but is a miniature one which chugs sadly thru dilaidated public gardens for 5 mins and then chugs back again...
Ds1 is still hyper - it's going to be a looong 48 hours until his birthday.
He has already been given 2 alarm clocks - this is the only member of the family who always wakes at 6am anyway

TrinityRhino · 21/12/2008 10:34

TigerFeet · 21/12/2008 10:34
