For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I'm here, I'm here! But not for long. Feel rather drained. Had no food until an hour agao.
Except for Haribo

Party sounded...fun...in a hectic kind of way.

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 21:10

Did ds2 join in the fun?

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 20/12/2008 21:11

the shameful thing is they were only in the house for an hour - we werre at the pix before. It seemed like an exceedingly long hour. But nothing got broke, no-one got hurt...

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 20/12/2008 21:12

ds2 came to cinema but sat with two of his pals who happened to be there too. And he ate with us before decamping to my lovely neighbour and friend who has 2 younger boys.

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 21:12

You are a hero

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 21:13

That worked out well then. I dread the younger ones being left out.

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 21:13

How is ds2? Is he any happier?

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 20/12/2008 21:18

Well, he's fine now - it's the holidays...

Actually, he's not that fine. He is so sensitive and snippy.

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 21:26

hope the holidays can chill him out a bit. School can be hell, can't it?

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 20/12/2008 21:28

you said it...

Have to go eat now, sweets x

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 21:31

I saw some yarn in the wool shop t'other day that was part soybean fibre, so lentil weaving is actually not so far-fetched....

Lol, Toot, why are you so restless?

I am full of tiramisu. I feel a bit sick now.

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 22:17

I wish I knew.

MangeTooT · 20/12/2008 22:19

Blooming typical. Somebody turns up and now I have to go to bed. No chance of escape tonight as dd2 has a cough and I will have to prop her at an angle and sleep oddly.
