For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

They gave DD coca cola, and we really don't do cola in this house. We might be jogging later!

TooTicky · 06/12/2008 14:10

We don't do cola either, except Whole Earth.
I'd rather like to walk dcs to town but it always takes so long. Nice walk by the canal but we'd be back too late and cold.

SmilesLikeNoOther · 06/12/2008 14:10

Yeah, so do I Toot

Although I have found out my aunt is losing her battle against cancer. Poor Poor her, and my Poor DS will not cope....

Time to be strong methinks.

TooTicky · 06/12/2008 14:12

Oh no, I'm so sorry

TooTicky · 06/12/2008 14:12

Being strong is tiring. Take care of yourself.

SmilesLikeNoOther · 06/12/2008 14:14

Thank-you, he has lost so many people it is no wonder he has emotional problems.

Have you got your decorations up yet?

TooTicky · 06/12/2008 14:16

God no. I spend most of December thinking we'll put them up when it's tidy. And then it gets really late and we have to do it anyway.
We have too much stuff in a small house and the chaos gets to me .

PrancerDancerCupidFMVixen · 06/12/2008 14:18

You are welcome fmv, I really hope things improve for you.

I am about to decorate my front door soon to entertain my customers. I have had two responses to my ironing service ad already

TooTicky · 06/12/2008 14:21

Goood news

Right, I think we're off out, unless dcs have fallen into next programme. Ds1 still sockless.

SmilesLikeNoOther · 06/12/2008 14:30

oh what is happening?

what I was saying was I like doing something that makes people feel good about themselves, for those whose image matters to them in that way.

and that I had handmade paper snowflakes and laminated them for the front door, and needed to find stuff for my wreath.......

SmilesLikeNoOther · 06/12/2008 14:32

Enjoy your walk Toot, I must rescue the furniture from being decorated with nail varnish.

TooTicky · 06/12/2008 14:34

Disappointingly, we will be going by car
It is about 5 miles though.

TooTicky · 06/12/2008 14:36

Door decorations, hmm. That's nice. I'd never manage it though, got too much scrabbling about with floor crap. I never seem to get to the good bits.

FrannyandZooey · 06/12/2008 15:34

aaargh just deleted huge painfully one handed typing post

Morning!

Why is DD stroppy after the cinema, mou? Sorry to hear about your aunt.

Hooray for lie-ins Franny.

SmilesLikeNoOther · 06/12/2008 16:01

Hi SB,---- probably fed a load of food we don't normally eat and she gets separation anxiety.

She is ok now and has shredded an acre of the brazilian rain forest on the living room floor.

And we are watching Mama Mia (again), to which we are both singing at the top of voices. lololol!!!!!!

Oh and she is covering me with tattoes!
And nail-varnish! I think I am getting high on fumes.

SuperBunny · 06/12/2008 16:11

Sounds like fun.

I have to go out later and there is tons of snow

SmilesLikeNoOther · 06/12/2008 16:18

I have had a lovely day.

Most of this morning in the studio and the afternoon being 'lazy' and pottering and dipping in and out of MN.

I am sorry the snow is not good for you SB. I hope you don't have to be out for long.

SuperBunny · 06/12/2008 16:30

I have a date

I don't want to have to wear snow boots.

SmilesLikeNoOther · 06/12/2008 16:33

OOOOHHHHHHHH!!!! SB.

tell me more !

Yes we don't always want to wear sensible footware do we?
