For anyone who wants a boost to their general health (and to talk bobbins with a load of fruity nutters). The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

SuperBunny · 12/09/2008 19:31

Are you ok Lully? I worry when you disappear

Lullabyloo · 12/09/2008 19:33

Stuff is crap at the mo in lots of ways
tend to avoid everyone & bury into my shell most of the time

How are you?

filthymindedvixen · 12/09/2008 19:36

No parcel yet Guad

odd sort a day
We've been invited to a party where they said: ''oh bring the kids round, it'll be fine. Kids excited. We figured we could take kids and settle them upstairs and stay for a couple of hours then taxi home. Now have had a text saying: ''kick-off around 9pm. '' ds2 is already asking to go to bed so he won't even last til then. I don't want to go by myself.

DH started clearing out garage at 6 so we are tired and cobwebby and the house is now full of stuff which I have to put on freecyle. Sigh. I don't feel as full of Friday Joy as I ought to.

I do that too, Lully.

Things not great here but, you know, mustn't grumble.

littlerach · 12/09/2008 19:42

Hope things look better soon, Lully and SB.

WE have torrential rain hre.
Like really heavy rain.
And thunder.
And lightening.

I haven't eaten much today so am going to open my chocoates that dd2's preschool committee bought me

Lullabyloo · 12/09/2008 19:47

I'm sorry SB
Can I do anything?
I'm here if you need to talk,do you have my email?

SuperBunny · 12/09/2008 19:49

Choc sounds good, LR. Enjoy

No, nothing you can do but thanks Lully. Just feeling overwhelmed, worn out and fed-up. I don't have your email. My anon one is busy mamama @ gmail .com

Sorry about party, FMF

SuperBunny · 12/09/2008 19:51

Oh, I meant to tell you:

We were listening to What a Beautiful Day yesterday. DS wanted it on repeat play and sang along. 'Iss a bootiful time, hey hey...'

When he woke up this morning, the first thing he said was, 'iss a bootiful time, mummy. Shall we listen to it?'

FrayedKnot · 12/09/2008 19:51

Happy Birthday Boco!

I hope the proper cake materialized eventually

I'm sure the interview went better than you thought, Zippi. Pity you've got to wait for ages to hear though - it sounds ideal from a practical POV.

Pink, please tell us you are eating dinner tonight - there is still time!

FrayedKnot · 12/09/2008 19:54

How did DD2 get on, LR?

DS is enjoyign it so far, but tired.

DH is being a fuckwit though about all the complicated arrangements we have had to make to get round the initially p/t hours.

pinkspottywellies · 12/09/2008 20:31

FK I did!! I ate dinner - veg and bean chilli 100% 10/10 and then I had a second helping. It's one of my favourites I think. And DD ate it. DH asked what meat it was

SuperBunny · 12/09/2008 20:33

Sounds good, pink. Much better than Haribo

Guadalupe · 12/09/2008 20:35

Say it was the fillet of the black bean cow, Pink, a rare breed indeed.

Did you like your cake?

pinkspottywellies · 12/09/2008 20:56

Beautiful cake thanks Guad good idea to tell him it was the bean cow!!

TooTicky · 12/09/2008 21:52

That's funny SB, ds2 always refers to it as Beautiful Time. Ds1 gets very het up about it.

TooTicky · 12/09/2008 21:54

Also, curiously, I was going to put a b'day message on for Boco earlier (but ran out of time) (Happy Birthday Boco!) and found that if you do a google image search for "boco cake", the 6th image is rather shocking.

TooTicky · 12/09/2008 21:56

Glad it was okay LittleRach.

Lully, we are missing you!

I made chickpea and spinach soup today - it was gorgeous.

zippitippitoes · 12/09/2008 22:02

i keep thinking was that cake modelled on someone

sorry ur and ll are low

and friends have late party kick off

i wasnt especially keen on job but once they expliained it it would be good as could stay here and get lodgers

and it is 30 hours which i decide myself when to work so wouldnt have to work weekends unless i wanted to

and you have complete autonomy on managemnet so would be like running your own shop which would be perfect for me i am hoping that the fact i have been self employed with my own shop might actually go in my favour

but you can never tell there might be someone who is ;ined up

TooTicky · 12/09/2008 22:08

You're not moving in this direction then?

TooTicky · 12/09/2008 22:08

Not that I don't want you to get the job of course!!
