Hi all

Well I dusted off the DVD today (its quite old, featuring Janine from Eastenders!) and it was OK

I did the warm up, and the disco workout and the pilates core stability warm down.

DD thought the latter was great and rolled and bounced on top of me but lying down in the bath I did feel my tummy muscles twinge.

I am going to try to do it agin tomorrow.

Oh well done peachy!

I'm thinking I may run home from school after dropping DCs off in the mornings, about 2/3 mile. Exercise has to fit into my daily routine or else I just don't do it.

Hmmm, better research running shoes.

Cadelaide · 23/09/2008 09:59

YAY! 1lb loss and I feel I'm back on track.

No cakes or biscuits? That'll be haaaaard.

goblinvalley · 23/09/2008 14:10

Congrats Cadelaide

I was a bit lax and paid for it by not moving - oops.

But, Davina has now arrived in DVD form and promised me that i shall be thin and toned

I've tried a couple of the routines and really liked them, and also trying out her healthy eating plan which coincides with the diet in no carbs after 4pm.

There's an awful lot of roast veg and salads though

peachygirl · 23/09/2008 18:34

Well done cadelaide !!

We have done well this week!

Two of us have moved from one number to another on the scales.

sueDonim from a 19 to a 9 and IamnotmamaG from and 12- 11 (stones) that is.
This is brilliant and shoud be
a motivational boost to us all!.

IamnotMamaG I think gets the top prize this week as over 4 weeks she has lost 5lb - (thats the size of a small baby!!)

Goblin valley and me have maintained
SueDonim lost 1lb as did cadelaide.

keep going ladies!!!!

Cadelaide · 02/10/2008 14:41

Hello Peachy and all.

I'm being rubbish this week, I think it's just that I'm rushed off my feet. Still, a few days to make amends I spose.

goblinvalley · 02/10/2008 16:07

Sorry to hear that Cadelaide, but maybe you haven't been that bad

Good luck with the rest of the week.

peachygirl · 02/10/2008 19:58

We all have ups and downs really, Don't worry Cadelaide.

Stick with it. I was so surprised I didn't gain this week.
But remember as wolfgirl originally said it isn't do or die. We all have tough times.

Anyway the weekend is coming up anyone got nice plans??

I think me and DD are going to Clapham to the Jojo shop to look at winter coats for her, then I will come home and get the mumsnet discount online

Morning ladies apologies again for being so darn absent, but things are quite hectic my end. I have family problems going on, and I guess my focus is not on dieting or cutting down, but just to keep my mental health above water!

Plus of course, we are still settling my little boy into reception in his BIG school, which is great, but the novelty of it all is fast wearing off and the hard work of it all, kicking it.

anyway, Peachy I will mail you today /tonight with my last couple of weeks weightings. Good news is, is that I have been maintaining, and not putting on weight, but no sign of any loss which is a pain. I could so do with losing some, but right now Im happy with maintenance.

I hope you ladies are well and shedding pounds! speak again soon xxx

peachygirl · 07/10/2008 20:22

Woo Hoo I lost 1lb. Mainly due I think to walking agin and properly sticking to the plan!!!!

OP posts:
Cadelaide · 07/10/2008 23:12

No loss, no gain.

But to be honest, I haven't been doing it at all. Come on you lot, remind me why I want to do this.

Tyme · 08/10/2008 09:21

Can I join you please? This is an approach that really works for me as I'm one of those who likes to eat comfort food (cakes, chocs) in the evenings when the kids are in bed!
I know when I cut that out and do a bit more exercise, I definitely lose weight.

I need to lose 2 stones and will be happy with a stone by Xmas
(I've lost a stone so far by having no snacks in the eve and getting to the gym when I can but have lost my way recently and need to get back into it)

JellycatShopkeeper · 08/10/2008 14:39

Welcome Tyme, I'm sure Peachy will be along soon.

peachygirl · 08/10/2008 20:40

OP posts:
Cadelaide · 09/10/2008 12:48

oh yes you very do!

Although today I'm having rather a good day.

Cadelaide · 09/10/2008 13:06

I dunno, I've just lost all motivation somehow. I think if I could just have a good couple of days I'd be away again.

Hello Tyme, I'd be thrilled with a stone by Christmas .

Sometimes I think I have a glass of wine and muck about on here and eat this-and-that when really I'm tired and I should just go to bed. Might try that tonight.

Tyme · 09/10/2008 13:22

Apparently you lose weight if you go to bed early. Ideally by 10.30. Something to do with hormones.
I am willing to try it

Cadelaide · 09/10/2008 14:52

Trouble is though Tyme it's often so late by the time I've done everything (you know, packed lunches, paperwork etcetc), and if I were to then go straight to bed I'd find myself thinking; "Is that it?".

I need some semblance of a life (even if it is snacking and MNing )

I may, however, give the early-night thing a try. I shall tell myself it's only temporary.

Tyme · 09/10/2008 17:19

I know exactly what you mean. By the time I finished with chores yesterday, it was 9.30.
I definitely needed a couple of hrs to wind down and watch some tv or something.
I didn't snack though.

I'm having my dinner with the kids (about 6.30) then thats it. No snacking unless its a small bit of fruit and a mint or green tea.

Cadelaide · 09/10/2008 19:05

OK, I've eaten (lamb casserole, no pudding).

No more for me tonight. There, you have it in writing.

Watch this space.....
