For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I do think unusual things happen to you, Boco. On a similar note to yours, I was grabbed hold of from behind in the street once by an irate middle-aged man demanding to know where the hell I thought I was going. Once he got a look into my face he backed off and apologised. He must have mistaken me for his daughter or something - poor girl

berolina · 19/08/2008 20:23

Tatties, certainly not pathetic, IMO and E. It can be very tough indeed.

FrannyandZooey · 19/08/2008 20:30

Avi and TF he poos mid bf so would not know how to start at present
perhaps that won't last
fear am too inattentive anyway but always found it intriguing

I have made oreo-like things, but they are bigger, chocolatier, cakier, organic, vegan, wholemeal and positively dangerous

Tatties, I have sort of been there. I was 16 and it tore me apart. {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

hang on hang on hang on.

I spy poo talk. I thought that was verbottom? Heh heh heh. Heh .... heh.... no? Oh well. Bero? You'll laugh at me won't you?

I have just washed my festival stuff from yesterday. Steeenky. I think when I was wandering around with no contacts in I must have been wandering around some very, uh, fresh areas. I did head for what I though was some toilet blocks (blind as a bat) but turned out to exceptionally large skips. Was in so much pain had to go there anyway. I wasn't the only one with that thought I reckon.

MUST GO AND HAVE A BATH. Tell me off. Tis only dirt holding me together and TooT will wrinkle her nose at me.

Yes, I am reasonably young FMV. But not for long. And as I have explained, DH averages out our ages and he is ancient. And I am quite haggard after years of festivals and not washing promptly./

I'm sorry my lovely, it was the comment about your mother's corsety 80s dress and I realised I had one of those (black, netty/lacy skirt...) and realised I might be old enough etc

fullmoonfiend · 19/08/2008 20:56

ah no, you are only 9 (!) years younger...

OsmosisBanana · 19/08/2008 20:58

I thought it might be the dress. I believe it might have been designer. NOT ANY MORE!!!! Will post pics after w/e

TigerFeet · 19/08/2008 21:01

Pooing mid feed would pose a problem I suppose . I will point BE in this direction, she has the answers (probably)

OsBa I thought there was a nasty niff in the air

Stir fry of lots of different vegetubbles.
Banana
Blueberries

fullmoonfiend · 19/08/2008 21:06

I have had a chinese feast (takeway but oodles of noodles
Beansporuts, onions, water chestnuts, cashews, peppers, oyster musrooms, baby sweetcorn, tofu, peanuts, carrots, pak choi, seaweed, etc etc

OsmosisBanana · 19/08/2008 21:09

Damn yer eyes. Laugh at my joke!

I saw many pirates at BD FMV. I thought of you and nearly took pictures but thought that might bea bit weird.

FrannyandZooey · 19/08/2008 21:12

"would he protest to be taken off briefly"

ahahahahahahahaha. Ahaha. Yes I believe he might. Had marathon feed earlier (at fussy time when dp usually puts in sling, but he was busy) and had to stick finger in his mouth to release nipple as getting very sore. Ended up with both finger and nipple clamped tightly in very determined gums

as for feeding without a nappy atm - NO WAY
remember restaurant incident? and that was with a nappy ON

thanks for advice again, I do see how it could work
as you say is about observing patterns

Decided not to go running. Not that anyone answered my poll [ignored] I might do 10 mins on the stepper. But I might not

OsmosisBanana · 19/08/2008 21:14

There was a whole family walk past us looking wholseome and piratty (arf). Even though I knew it couldn't be you I nearly enquired....

BabiesEverywhere · 19/08/2008 21:15

Some ECing Links

If your baby does a poo's mid feed you can either offer a potty before the feed or use a 'potty bowl' under the baby's bottom whilst you feed, if you have enough hands to sort that out.

I have bought a potty bowl but haven't started ECing my DS yet (I started with my DD at 10 weeks old)

FrannyandZooey · 19/08/2008 21:15

oh shit I spelt alfalfa wrong
oh that will piss me off all week. I'll have to change it
TooT I said you should have done it

OP posts:
OsmosisBanana · 19/08/2008 21:16

Pink we can not do 10 mins on our steppers together

I am going to do more tomorrow to make up for it.

I was going to have a go this morning but I got sidetracked - dd's last day at nursery is Thursday (gulp) so we started making a card before work this morning. THere are a few pics of her from when she first went to now, 3 and a half years and you can see her growing up [sob]

OsmosisBanana · 19/08/2008 21:18

Right. Deadliest Catch is on. That is my cue to go for a bath before DH starts making Deadliest Snatch jokes.
