For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

fancy dress?? I might dress fancy.

Ds1 is ten, dd is six, ds2 is eighteen months. What time will you arrive. The forum says 66% of people are aiming for 9am, that's one bastard of a queue!

We are going to drive through the night and stop nearby I think. Maybe dh could sleep in the queue.

FrannyandZooey · 19/08/2008 18:55

roasted courgettes, aubergine and mushrooms (finally cooked from fiasco yesterday)
did brown rice today was less likely to end up mushed

Lullabyloo · 19/08/2008 19:00

Yes yes
I have a good book on veg creations
was a strange present from a boss years ago..along with some very loud outlandishly expensive handpainted placemats..

ahundredtimes · 19/08/2008 20:01

I like the thought of Bee whirring about your house. Pleased you had a good time MrsC, despite unclean cottage.

I am doing that packing / staring thing. This year I have all sandals but ds1 seems to only own three pairs of pants. Is that possible? We are off early tomorrow, I hope to spend most of my time sitting here this evening as get easily overwhelmed.

I behaved v. badly with the opticians today. I was actually quite objectionable and assertive on the phone. I even said 'No, I am talking, just listen' at one point. I believe I also said 'this is shoddy customer service, and you should be ashamed. It is unasseptable.' When I went in to collect glasses this afternoon they did wide-eyed staring and nudging of each other behind the counter and I couldn't keep it up, and said I was sorry and how brilliant they were to have specially organized the courier for me. It was all rather exhausting.

OsmosisBanana · 19/08/2008 20:01

Yes. A very mini meet.... I shall talk too much too loudly. No change there then!

Where is Solfest? I don't even know where Shambala is, apparently A14 wherever that may be.

Weather looks exceptionally bad which is when DH shall be attemtping to put our rather large tent up on his own.

I want a Dodge 50 next year.

Where did you go for dinner MrsC?

I just cried watching Christine Ohorugu win her race. Tsk.

I have decided on cave baby, but dress style instead pf nappy wrap thing. Poss freezing. I am wearing a dress of my Mum's from the 80's (if I get into it) which is boned satin and skin tigght with black netting underneath and a fishtail, about calf length. I am going to sew lots of pink netting underneath to stop it looking so Princess Di.

I think I might invest in some horrid fishnet gloves too.

Please excuse the wild veering of post from one subject to asnother.

fuck me, you are young aren't you OB

MrsC, yes, 66 per cent of er, 12, people who have voted....

We will be in the queue at 9am, as we must be on a flat bit of the quiet field. Or else I may end up punching someone at 3am.

Molly Roger will be making an appearance as I have nothing else in the fancy dress stylee.

Ah food, I thought you had a 10yo boy, the boys will be most happy. ds2 might try and woo your dd with his terrible jokes and armpit farts.

fullmoonfiend · 19/08/2008 20:08

oh Lully, that top sounds divine (green is very much my colour)

OB, Solfest is Cumbria. Quite a trek from you.

pinkspottywellies · 19/08/2008 20:09

TooT I didn't pause for long enough between your posts about wee pots and mixing something chocolatey

Not such a good vegger today. Although 3 at breakfast so a good start. Forced down the tiniest portion of dinner. Still hungry but really struggled to eat eggs. Ought to eat something else. Was supposed to be running down to friend's house about now. Quick vote please on whether I should go. Have been soooo tired today but maybe will help me sleep and might feel good after?

berolina · 19/08/2008 20:12

oh fmv, if green is your colour and you are a 10 (?) I might actually have something rather nice to extended-lend you. How tall are you?

Boco · 19/08/2008 20:13

Do you really think unusual things happen to me? Maybe I just go on about mundane things more than is usual. Haven't heard anymore from the searching sister or her extended family, so maybe she believed that I wasn't Mariam at last.

was it only 12 who voted? Ha ha, I have been quoting those stats at dh all day saying he is only allowed to sleep in the 'queue'.

I looked at 'ah food' for a bit wondering what food had to do with ages!

Avi - do you really hold newborns over potties? Does it work? DS2 always tells us when he does something but won't sit on the potty. If he is bare bottomed he gets a nappy.

fullmoonfiend · 19/08/2008 20:14

I'm 5ft 6''. But Bewro, my life is messy and scruffy so if it is a lovely thing, please don't lend it to me, will only get covered in mud or something!

Lully, if you are serious, I will pay postage

fullmoonfiend · 19/08/2008 20:16

oh sorry, was obviously meant to say good!

Tatties · 19/08/2008 20:17

LOLOL Franny

I think it could work on you. It is a lovely thing but it will only be imprisoned and neglected in my wardrobe for hopefully at least a couple of years to come (as entirely bf-incompatible) so I would rather have it Getting Use, even at the risk of mud. Email me if you would like it anyway.

Guadalupe · 19/08/2008 20:18

back at weekends is tough though, Tatties. We did it for quite a while and it was hard.
