For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Hello, are you off song titles? I have just been listening to Billy Bragg.

'There is power in the fig tree, power in the lime, There is power in a onion.'

pinkspottywellies · 26/07/2008 22:13

Zippi, my last 4 cars have cost less than that put together

Franny, he is sooooo delicious He does look far too enourmous to have been in your belly.

I've just been for a bbq at a friends and one of the ladies was talking about her first couple of days in hosp with newborn - she asked for a vegetarian option for lunch and was given a side plate of lettuce with cottage cheese and pineapple I would have had to eat a nurse or something!! Luckily her Italian mil would cook huge amounts of pasta, wrap the plate in tinfoil, have the car waiting outside and fil would rush it along to the hosp

Sounds like everyone is doing nice summery things this weekend! It's so hot

I hope someone thinks of a title I don't like it when we fall off the end of the world. I can't think of anything!!

That's what vegtarians eat, PSW. I always get asked, "So, do you only eat salad then?" Honestly, some people have no imagination. I can't imagine living on lettuce and cottage cheese having just given birth. It's not really very substantial, is it?

BBBee · 26/07/2008 22:38

toot can do it - she does titles sometimes...

UnderRated · 26/07/2008 22:38

I can't do a title this week. I don't know that Billy Bragg song. Someone make a new thread.

pinkspottywellies · 26/07/2008 22:39

I made the last one

Avi - sorry the email hasn't come - thank you so much, it is gorgeous and so soft and I love the colour so thank you thank you thank you
I printed out some bits of MN and an email as proof that it was a gift and set off for the delivery office prepared to do battle. The lovely man behind the counter tried to phone customs but it rang and rang and nobody answered so in the end he said it was their problem and, "Have this one on us," he said, and handed it over. Am hoping he won't get into trouble over it. He didn't even ask to see my bits of paper.

Haven't read thread very properly because there is rather a lot of it and I should be sleeping really.

Franny, everything sounds so much better, I am so pleased for you
Ds2 looks wonderful in the photo - so contented and yes, big
Am hoping the link will still work tomorrow as dd2 has been demanding "Franny pictures"

Hope everybody is okay

BBBee · 26/07/2008 22:41

pinkspottywellies · 26/07/2008 22:42

The day I had dd I couldn't figure out the lunch menu and ended up with ham salad but no bread or anything cause I hadn't asked, then I wasn't asked about dinner. The person who'd had the bed before me's dinner was cancelled when she went home but no-one thought to ask if someone else was taking the bed! They got me a sandwich but god-damn I'd have eaten the baby if she wasn't so cute!! (and been such hard work to get out!)
