For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

I am also up late.

DD is a cat about 85% of the time I think

UnderRated · 25/07/2008 00:51

lol @ burgular

S1ur · 25/07/2008 00:52

Yes late agin. dishwasher hopefully will be fab, but need to get to b&q in the morning to get things and stuff to make it work.

Did your dad send the mole book?

Perhaps you could get him toliet obsessed instead, there's that who's in the loo book, or a gazillion others.

Mind yuo toliet obsessed may not be hugely better.

S1ur · 25/07/2008 00:55

Hello Idris

A cat sounds lovely! does she purr? Mine are currently resolutely human at the moment but ds has quite taken to making me pretend to be a cat or a horse or somesuch in service of him.

UnderRated · 25/07/2008 00:56

Yes, we have the mole book

Who's in the loo sounds quite good fun.

I think today's incident was just a one off.

IdrisTheDragon · 25/07/2008 00:58

She sometimes purrs, mainly meows.

The 15% of the time she isn't a cat, she is a mummy and I have to be the baby. If DS is unlucky, he gets to be the daddy.

UnderRated · 25/07/2008 00:59

Morning all

Franny I am also appalled at the bf "support" and at "is there a REASON you prefer him not to have formula?"
THANK GOD there are some people who take it upon themselves to help.

But so so glad you are both getting better and will be home for good soon.

UR LOL at "Will avoid the zoo and Attenborough is definitely off limits til DS is sure he is a human." I think we need to get some toilet books too...

Welcome back Slur!

Well I bought lots of fruit yesterday so today will be a fruit-fest of mango(?), strawberries, blueberries, nectarines and clementines. I was sure I put a pineapple in my basket too but it wasn't there when I got home

womblingalong · 25/07/2008 09:29

Morning Vegger, Welcome back Slur, UR, I supose I have all this to look forward to with DS!

Mango, strawberries, pineapple, raisins, dates

OsmosisBanana · 25/07/2008 10:31

Morning! It's only bloody Friday!!!!!

Urgh. Although have been working 4 days a week for a while it has been in a much lowlier position and I am suddenly back in that work mindset BC now they've bumped me up the ladder... The slog to get to the end of the week.

Still, am trying not to wind myself up with the bigger countdown to holidays / uni.

I have the sobering thought of PIL visit in early August to keep my feet on the ground.

Am enjoying the thought of these renegade nurses 'turning up, stealing our jobs' and of course the bit the Daily Mail leaves off 'helping our mothers to BF'

OsmosisBanana · 25/07/2008 10:32

Bloody computer. You knows what I means.

TooTicky · 25/07/2008 11:41

Lully need your address to send t-shirt- Mr Toot.

filthymindedvixen · 25/07/2008 14:17

aggg. Taken me half an hour to mow lawn, set up paddling pool, find towels etc etc. The boys have started a water fight and I'm bored already of screeching explaining the rules are no water direct in face.
AIBU to go and hide in the front garden with a book?

zippitippitoes · 25/07/2008 14:18

hello

so sorry to see franny and baby have been in hospital

but really pleased that you are both recovering

wishing you well in the next few dcays

OsmosisBanana · 25/07/2008 14:39

This office smells. Of baby milky sick.

I thought it was me but went out for lunch with BF who did a general sniff and assures me it isn't.

Gross.

pinkspottywellies · 25/07/2008 14:45

Banana, raisins, dried apricots, oj, courgette and onion in leftover fritatta from last night. Need to eat more lunch. Oh sod it. It's nearly 3 o'clock I'll wait til dinner time! Tonight won't be very veggy - we're getting take away with tree-surgeon friend in return for him taming wild hedge. Our trimmer died a few weeks ago and the hedge is threatening to take over the world

I hoped Franny might have been back on today. I wonder if they're home again on day-release!?

We might go to a pub by the river this evening, let them splash about a bit and then go in for dinner.

Hi Zippi, did you have a good holiday?

zippitippitoes · 25/07/2008 14:50

Guadalupe · 25/07/2008 14:58
