advice following tooth extraction - I'm in PAIN!

I've had a troublesome tooth since March and after repeated attempts at root canals I had it removed today hoping I'd finally be pain-free. Unfortunately I'm in such agony this evening I'm worried something is wrong as I've had extractions before and not felt anything like this.

I suspect the blood clot may have come off the wound - if that's the case will it not heal? Will it become infected?

Any advice at all about what I should / could do?

I’ve had severe pain since having two upper teeth extracted six days ago. I went back to the dentist, who prescribed Amoxicillin. No analgesia is ever prescribed. I’m still in agony codeine helps but is constipating and makes me sick. I prefer that to this terrible pain.

I’ve had severe pain for six days since dental extractions. I went back and was given Amoxicillin which hasn’t reduced the pain or swelling. I tried codeine which helps for a short time, it makes me feel sick. I can’t stand this much longer. Why don’t dentists prescribe strong analgesia for a few days.Ive never experienced anything like this level of pain.

I had a tooth taken out 5 days ago, the but I still got a sharp pain in my gum where the tooth was. I was taking co codamol but stopped yesterday as they were making me feel so sleepy so just on paracetamol now. Is it normal to still have a pain 5 days later. How have any of you dealt with this.
