For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Bee has uncommonly deep pits which she has to pad out with radishes wrapped in hankerchiefs.

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 22:34

boco, you are sort of quote of the week

Boco · 10/07/2008 22:35

How am I sort of quote of the week? What is it?

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 22:36

SheherazadetheGoat on the prospective penalties of supplying Boco with chocolate, "Don't give Boco a Mars bar; she will become obese and David Cameron will lock her up."

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 22:36

did you ask for a mars bar you heathen?

ahundredtimes · 10/07/2008 22:37

Now ds2 has arrived and is saying that Johnny Jet keeps coming in his room and trying to make him play.

And you think you have problems with 17 m-o? Pah.

Am going to do something now. Not sure what. Something purposeful to do with a daft dog I should think.

Boco · 10/07/2008 22:39

Well I did ask for a marsbar - and £30, from mumsnet, in return for services - can't remember what.

Boco · 10/07/2008 22:40

Am going to bed.
Hope Franny isn't deeply disturbed by our midwife practice when she reads it in the morning.

Good night

Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 22:40

blimey that's reminded me, I have been so distracted with ds2 that I have not been to turn off the lights of the others

They will be gleeful, look at the time! Now I can hear something.

ahundredtimes · 10/07/2008 22:40

Did you ask? Did you? You are shameless.

Do you all have music in your heads all the time? I just saw a thread asking what song you have in your head. It has a lot of replies. I read that Oliver Sacks book the other week, and I thought how I never have music in my head. I can't remember tunes or words. DH says he has a whole orchestra in there most of the time.

I am empty and tuneless. That's quite sad. I am going to write to Dr Sacks about it.

Right. Dog. Love to all.

TooTicky · 10/07/2008 23:27

I shall send Franny my horrifically hot chickpea curry this time instead of eating it myself. It is actually nice as well.
