Cantaloupe, cantaloupe! Will you eat the bad mango? - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Morning everyone.

Thanks stuffit, am toying with soeaking to the teacher just because DS is so petrified.

DS2's birthday party yesterday so 10/10 was easy because there was so much healthy food to pick on.

lionheart · 15/06/2008 10:28

I will watch for makeover advice.

Women should moo if they want to do so.

FrannyandZooey · 15/06/2008 10:28

lionheart I did read your thread but didn't know what to say really
I think getting a Christian person who ds trusts to explain about god's love and forgiveness and all that could be the answer

Thanks Franny.

His Christian teacher might be the one--she thought it was very funny when DS wrote out a version

of a Bible story because when she praised him for his work, he said, "I don't actually

believe in God though".

Boco · 15/06/2008 10:33

My midwife with dd2 told me to keep the noise down! She said I was only 3cm and had an awfully long way to go - and then dd came charging out, and she was surprised. Well we all were.

lionheart · 15/06/2008 10:33

I like advice. Just being more organised about food and shopping would help a lot.

lionheart · 15/06/2008 10:38

Draw the line at a bad mango though.

FrannyandZooey · 15/06/2008 10:39

do you want to be specific about what you need lionheart or do you want to just read what other people are doing?

lionheart · 15/06/2008 11:02

The downside is that you will need an embroidered frock and to sigh wearily.

And a boat.

Have you got one? I think Franny may have.

MarsLady · 15/06/2008 11:04
