Just come back from being away.
Thought of you all so much, so sorry to read of Steve's passing. I couldn't believe he would have still been here, but it is still sad to read.

Wishing you much love and strength for the days, weeks, months and years ahead. Every anniversary, every tweak of hurt. Take care.

thinking of you OJ - so sad to hear about Steve passing - what a brave man he was, battling to the end. I am glad for him that is is now at peace and free of pain.

I will be thinking of you all tomorrow and I am off to Sainsbury's later to buy my trifle to eat for Steve!

Have been to see steve, he looks very different somehow, i took him some photos and a card and of course a trifle spoon thou it had to be plastic as he cant have metal.
my mate tracey and 3 other mates have been here all day, tracey is sorting some food out for tomorrow, there will be trifle, NAB you pack of trifle has been made.
this all seems very unreal to me like it is happening to someone elses family.
the kids are ok thou beth was tearful when i was throwing up last night as she thought i might die too
i am feeling much better today but still got sore mouth and coldsores.
tracey is sleeping over tonight.

OJ seeing them is really hard, it's going to take time to sink in. Even though you knew it was going to happen you can't prepare for it.

OJ steve looks different now as he is in a better place, free from the suffering. He is watching over you all, and will always be around you.

Shall be thinking of you all tomorrow, and send you lots of strength to get through it and I'm sure everyone on MN feels the same xx

I remember seeing my dad at the chapel of rest and thinking it didn't look like him at all - more like an empty shell - the important bit was missing. I was oddly indifferent to seeing him - it didn't upset me.
