For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I love the green shoes. All of them. I'm dull when it comes to shoes.

Thanks for the link, Guadalupe - it doesn;t work but a word in it means I think I know who you are

UnderRated · 05/06/2008 19:35

Sorry x posts Franny.

Wiped out by yesterday and getting my period. Feel a bit unsettled and too tired to actually do anything. Have sent DH out for Chips, but have had 2 apples, cherries, pear, satsuma, kiwi & OJ, small salad for lunch with a chicken wrap.

Boco · 05/06/2008 20:55

Boco · 05/06/2008 21:15

Franny was the anger linked to the shoes? Are you singing that UB40 song or do you really have a pest problem?

FrannyandZucchini · 05/06/2008 21:20

gooseberryfoolmoonfiend · 05/06/2008 21:34

Marvellous! We are watching a programme called 3 in a bed and dh says I can have Hewie from Fun Loving criminals and Huge Furry-Whippingstick as additional husbands! Hoorah.....

unChampignon · 05/06/2008 21:45

lol

I am not sure if having 3 husbands would be a joy or a penance, tbh

unChampignon · 05/06/2008 21:46

I expect they would all want feeding and washing doing

Eek at the mouse

Where has it gone? Do you want to borrow my cat for ashort period?

alarkaspree · 05/06/2008 22:12

Franny would you like to rehome borrow my cat? She caught a rat in my parents' cellar once.

Today I've had savoy cabbage, edamame, green beans, carrots, celery, houmous, apple, banana and chocolate chip bread, avocado. 8. Oh well.

My sister had a baby boy though, hooray!

FrannyandZucchini · 05/06/2008 22:14

I told dp to watch where it went but he was too busy going 'ook' and hopping around a bit

he calls all invaders into the house 'little friends' for some reason (even though he spends half his leisure hours trying to kill them ) so when he said there was a little friend in the larder I thought it was a loofah at first
I was thinking "just take it out and stop hopping, you are not scared of loofahs"
