For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Of course I will use it. It is very pleasant to pull along.

Zippi, glad you got a reply. Do you suppose his wife is a MNer? If so, she will know where you've been weeing

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2008 17:48

lol

i doubt it as she is even older than me

tho that would be embarrassing

i had that thread deleted

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2008 17:48

not the wee one todays thread

Guadalupe · 05/06/2008 17:51

Really? I wouldn't have thought there was an 'of course' about it at all. How will you pull that and push your DD along?

Mind you, I suppose she can walk now. Ds1 has walked a bit up a hill, I'm fine with the pram but the hills pull my stomach.

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2008 17:52

looks like a nice thing to push child in

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2008 17:52

or rather pull

Boco · 05/06/2008 18:06

MrsC I like it best when you're Guadalupe.

Guinea pigs are very sweet, but so alarmed that we all feel guilty going to talk to them because they try and burrow through the back of the hutch. I hope they grow to like us.

Went to the woods today for a lovely walk, can hear properly again, feeling better.

Guadalupe · 05/06/2008 18:26

That's because you chose it for me, Boco.

FrannyandZucchini · 05/06/2008 18:40

I didn't think TooT had a pushchair tbh

I tried to find emerald green shoes today
I failed

gooseberryfoolmoonfiend · 05/06/2008 18:55

ah youneed to visit the Emerald City for those, Franny...

oh my word, just found these!! Looks like someone has stepped in vom tbh

gooseberryfoolmoonfiend · 05/06/2008 18:57

mmmmmmm sparkles!

unChampignon · 05/06/2008 18:59

Bonsoir

Boco GPs are very friendly I'm sure they will soon be rushing out and squeaking nlike crazy when you come to feed them etc. They probably just need a day or two to settle in. Hope DD had a lovely day.

MrsC lunch sounds fab. And DD's teacher too.

Oh dear Franny about the guttering...we have just repainted some rather rotten in places fascia, but it didn;t have guttering attached. I sent the bloke packing who suggested we cover it in a lovely UPVC clip on thingie. As it is we are UPVC central in this house. Can you get a second opinion?

Lovely trolley, TooT

gooseberryfoolmoonfiend · 05/06/2008 19:06

oh we must have ''No time for losers cos We Are the Champignons'' for a thread title one day

UnderRated · 05/06/2008 19:08

You've been busy. I can't catch up. Do we have new people or just name-changers?

I ate baby spinach from the garden yesterday. And tons of F&V - think I had 10. Fewer today but am better than have been of late.

Will try to read thread...

UnderRated · 05/06/2008 19:09

Yes, I wnat the queen title next time. V good FMF.

MrsCarrot · 05/06/2008 19:10

Hmm, bit high

blimey

quite a few here but pricey

Yes, I forgot you didn't use a pram, Toot. A trolley must be easier. Young people seem to be using them a bit more these days don't they?

I can't decide what to eat for dinner after such an extravagent lunch. Might have to be more asparagus.

Guadalupe · 05/06/2008 19:12

They are not helpful are they?

I will try harder.

TooTshooT · 05/06/2008 19:15

Champignon, you must warn people before you abbreviate guinea pig to GP in order to limit mirth-related injuries

I do have a pushchair but never take it shopping. I use it for going to and from school these days. It is a 3 wheeler, dd2 sits in, ds2 perches on the front. Steering it when fully loaded is an art and requires much heaving, particularly on hills.

TooTshooT · 05/06/2008 19:17

Hello UR
I was sure I was going to say something to you but have no idea what it was.

Guadalupe · 05/06/2008 19:23

how about these?

yes, heavy pushchairs are hard. DD stayed in hers for ages as we had to walk so far to the university but it was a slog. She was too tired to walk after a day there.

UnderRated · 05/06/2008 19:23

Let me know when you remember, toot!

Who is Guadalupe?

Guadalupe · 05/06/2008 19:24

emerald green leather iris calf boot

Guadalupe · 05/06/2008 19:25

UR

Guadalupe · 05/06/2008 19:29

oooh, I might get these for myself

gooseberryfoolmoonfiend · 05/06/2008 19:32

oh now they are cute!
