sorry if i had you all worried, the nurses are with steve now so i am having a coffee and ten minutes sit down.
steves breathing was bad last night and we did think he had gone a few times
we had a new night lady and i went off to bed for a while, when i got up in the night to go to the loo i looked out of the bathroom window and all of the lights were out, now considering that the night staff are supposed to be awake and that his breathing was not good so we were watching biggles move up and down on his chest, i fail to see how she could be doing that, so i ended up having a restless night on the sofa and phoned the agency and asked that they don't send her again, thats the 2nd sleeping night staff we have had
SW came this morning to be here for MILs vist and much as i didn't want to leave steve i went out whilst MIL was here, me and my mate went to get the girls birthday pressies cards and stuff.
the DNs are just draining steves bladder then i will go and lay with him for a while until the school run.

thankyou also whoever sent the Wii fit dancing game and the DS game too

at sleeping night staff, ffs, what do they think they are there for?????

oh oj as if you dont have enough on your plate to have to worry about the very people who are meant to be helping you. I can imagine it was very scary for you expecting the worst everytime steve,s breathing stopped,but glad he is still with you so you have more time together.

With the night staff- just wondering- are the agency being clear? It's just that most agencies do night staff on both waking and sleeping duties (when I used to do sleeping the idea was I would wake up if my aldy needed to go to the Loo, have a drink etc- we had a baby monitor).

Maybe rhe staff are not beig briefed well?

Or am I being too charitable?

OJ as always you and your family are in my thoughts. As Buda said a bit mad since we've never met, but what has come loud and clear from you posts is what a wonderful person you are and that makes my heart go out to you.

been out all day, only just got back

OJ, I wonder whether on some level Steve is trying to hold out until the girl's birthday. There have been so many occasions now when he could have slipped away but he keeps on fighting back. I really hope that he is there at the weekend so that Abbey & Bethan can share one last special day with their dad.

Sorry to hear that the agency staff last night was not doing her job! I hope you managed to get some sleep in between and that from now on they only send you reliable people. Love to you all xxx

OJ, I get up in the morning and check MN. I check in through the day and just before I go to bed. Through MN I have seen how much people give and take in relationships, I have seen people lose children/parents and I have seen difficult times/situations. I have never, ever seen anyone like your Steve (apart from Pink Peter, who I felt i "knew") that has moved me so much. That man loves you so much, I am in awe and a little jealous in one way. The minute he leaves you and the children he will be gone in body but I defy anyone in this world to tell me that the spirit and in your case, the love does not exist somewhere else. My son has just been baptised, as a teenager, and tries hard to explain to others about God etc and the never ending love. I am a believer but if I wasn't, I would believe because of you, Steve and the love he has for you all and the love you feel for him.

I wish him peace on his journey and the grace to go with dignity. I wish you however much time you need/want with him. I know how much you are torn between wanting someone to stay and go.
