For Steve

For oj

For Elliot

Quick! What do the girls like?

Is this ok? I think you said one of them liked to watch it.

Is that everyone sorted?

Not forgetting the carers!

she knows we are all here - she will be back when she needs to be.

Leave her to deal with what is happening - bombarding her with mails and texts asking if she is ok won't help much sadly.

NotABanana · 03/06/2008 12:56

I know, but it is all we can feel we can do. Let her know we are here but I won't text again.

x

RubySlippers · 03/06/2008 12:59

lots of love to you all
xxxx

MargaretMountford · 03/06/2008 13:01

I know you are very concerned NAB but must echo others thoughts here and leave OJ in peace to do whatever she needs to do in her own time - she knows how everyone on mn is thinking of her -of that there can be no doubt. If Steve has died then it might be very hard for her to break the news to us iyswim- I remember when my brother died I found it impossible to share this with anyone because I couldn't cope with the sympathy and the sheer weight of other people's feelings. Hang on and I'm sure she will get back to us all..after all we can't actually do anything useful apart from be here for when she needs solace

NotABanana · 03/06/2008 13:03

I promise I won't text.

My phone just went 1 minute ago and my heart jumped. (Only hubby saying he is coming home early)

I remember when my Nana died I texted people or just told them next time I saw them as I had never had to tell anyone someone had died before and I didn't know what to do. I felt a bit embarrassed.

jingleyjen · 03/06/2008 13:05

sending love and best wishes to you and your family. xxx

MargaretMountford · 03/06/2008 13:05

it is very hard to tell people I think...be calm and when we know what's what then you can see how you can help more practically...the power of good thoughts is very strong.

Buda · 03/06/2008 13:06

I am hoping that OJ is having lots of lovely cuddles with Steve and doesn't want to leave him.

mumlove · 03/06/2008 13:08

Still thinking of you and your lovely family xxxxx

chocaholic73 · 03/06/2008 13:08

yes, she may find it hard to actually tell us, even though she's shared so much. We just need to be here for us when she wants ..people show grief in totally different ways and at different times.

fryalot · 03/06/2008 13:09

telling someone makes it real, doesn't it.

imaginaryfriend · 03/06/2008 13:09

With you OJ xxx

bossybritches · 03/06/2008 13:10

She has been leaving theoldbitch MIL to have a quiet visit & gone to do a bit of shopping. Hopefully we'll get an update later.

I know what you mean NAB I've sat on my hands SOOOO much these last few weeks as I know OJ has other things on her mind so we have to be patient.

She does check in here though even if she hasn't got time to reply & loves seeing our messages

waves to OJ if she's peeking in

MrsJonnyDepp · 03/06/2008 13:10

Loads of love OJ xxxx

NotABanana · 03/06/2008 13:15

Had text

Steve still with us.

Had a hard night with Steve stopping breathing a few times which she found very frightening. Had problems with staff to deal with and MILs visit and loads of other stuff.

She has Tracey with her now.

Wanted me to thank bubblerock for a parcel she sent and she has had a wii and ds game for the girls but she doesn't know who from.

WingsofaAngel · 03/06/2008 13:18
