For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

well it isn't that bad, really, it only hurts when i stand up or walk around, dp has been very helpful and doesn't expect me to do much at all, plus ds is 5 and doesn't actually need me to DO much, plus he goes to nursery and we have been able to have a couple of hours of paid help also
PLUS friends have helped by taking him out

so it isn't really very bad at all, I just feel miserable when like eg yesterday I took ds to nature park and walking to the bus stop was fkn horrible
oh ha ha have managed ANOTHER whinge now

yes UR - please let us know if there is anything we can do. I thought of the publicity thing but was reluctant to suggest it.

Franny, my objection is mostly to the horrendous waste of fuel, and the emissions. There will also be ex-GDR and Soviet aircraft there - very nasty pollutant-wise and an oppotunity for FIL to glorify his days in the E German air force (looking after the govt fleet) to ds1 who I know is young, but I do find it a little disturbing when trappings of such deeply undemocratic regimes are celebrated. The air show is in the former E and there will be a lot of nostalgia going on. The heat thing tops it off - they will be out in the midday sun. I expect they will go though

stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 15:25

they sound like flea bites beyond that i have no idea how mysterious

can I ignore f and V intake -- have a we are not worthy feeling

what's it like doing a car boot sale? anybody done one? ive moved several large piles of crap into the garage and got lots of change from the bank but am afraid of customers and haggling

berolina · 30/05/2008 15:27

UR quick note -- it's occurred to me that reading "i was in the business" you might see "can I sell your story"..

NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO! if I could shout it louder I would

absolutely not no way
i can just see how it might work for you
thats it -- shutting up now

berolina · 30/05/2008 16:08

stuffit, I'm sure UR won't have read it like that. Don't worry.

Franny, I see what you mean now Goodness, they are ghastly (most of them). I was an emoticon user. No more.

fullmoonfiend · 30/05/2008 16:43

OH my! they are grim and sort of common luminous, those emotcons, aren't they! The sad one is too comedy to depict actual sadness, isn't it?

Saw on another thread tech wants to give us [vom] one too...

OB - sorry you've had such a wierd one. No wonder you are feeling crap today...
TBH, as franny said, it is quite obvious, even with your comment deleted what happened, so if you are feeling sensitive about it, you may wish to have other comments deleted too.

UR - can't add anything constructive other than it sucks big time and I am sending you every positive vibe my ageing hippy self can summon x

Franny - hate to say it but they do sound suspiciously like flea bites...

FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2008 17:28

where could flea bites be coming from? we haven't even got any carpets they could be living on?

he does play outside a lot etc and we go to woods and long grass

they were first on his back and tummy, now on ankles
OMG they are not TICKS are they?
sorry but will have to use an emoticon

zippitippitoes · 30/05/2008 17:57

Tatties · 30/05/2008 18:03

Just nipping in to say hello! And wishing positive thoughts to all who need them

(my emoticons haven't changed either MrsC)

zippitippitoes · 30/05/2008 18:04

sorry that was an awful reply yes i went on a big walk on monday which happens every three years to beat the bounds of the township which was greatr fun..i didnt know it was due but bumped into someone the night before and it involved getting up to set off at 6 amm and jumping over ditches in the bog and clambering through streams and the bits of woods you dont normally go in and about 250 people did it

MrsCarrot · 30/05/2008 18:15

Hello, tatties.

That sounds good, Zippi, I would like to do some walking holidays, maybe when the dcs are a bit older. DD can walk quite a way but not miles. Could you not tell them you just needed some fresh air and a break or will that not wash?

We are having Thai takeaway for dinner. Dcs are having fishfingers and quinoi. That sounds like an odd combination doesn't it?

IdrisTheDragon · 30/05/2008 18:16

Hello. My emoticons are the same

OB I am not entirely sure what has happened but really hope all will be well.

Franny thank you for shoes being on their way.

Glad that Boco and Bocoette will be leaving hospital tomorrow.

And I am glad you are back zippi as I was starting to wonder where you were.

I will (probably) return later

WatTylermoonfiend · 30/05/2008 18:34

no, no they changed! they really did! They went all cartooony and horrible. But we brave militants and agitators and whinging Luddites activists got MNHQ to see the error of their ways.

IdrisTheDragon · 30/05/2008 18:36

I think you were all in on some cliquey thing to make those of us not able to be at a computer all the time feel like they were not special

MrsCarrot · 30/05/2008 18:36

I don't trust what you say, not after all that chocolate. You were probably hallucinating.

fullmoonfiend · 30/05/2008 18:52

Choc cake for lunch and snack.....
