For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Well, he could be sitting at home painting them now but I suspect I must have done them at the weekend.

Maybe he is painting his nails and reading mumsnet. A complete role reversal...

He'll be thinking 'Who IS this nutter banging on about 3somes - get over it'.

OsmosisBanana · 30/05/2008 13:37

Didn't Zip go away camping in Wales? She's probably been washed out to sea knowing what the weather was like over this side of the cuntry.

JackieNo · 30/05/2008 13:39

Hello lovely fruit and veg people - just barging in to say that I love your thread titles, but I'm going to have to hide this particular thread, because I've been singing this song non-stop for three days now, and I'm starting to get on my own nerves.

FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2008 14:12

Jackie it'll be gone soon and you can have another one to annoy you

Osmosis oh dear I don't have anything more helpful to say but I think MrsC is probably right dispensing wisdom from her sick bed again

Boco coming home tomorrow? what HOME home to the UK?

LOL egotistically at The Frannometer

have had grapes, strawberries, raisins
am about to have very late lunch
dp is off and we have been gardening and have finally done our lettuces and stuff
car is at garage
it seems to be an expensive month one way or another
dp planning to get up the ladder later, I am not keen on him doing it - AIBU? it's a long way up and he's never done anything like it before

MrsC well if you will invite pilots for dinner what will you expect?

ds has mosquito farm in back garden puddle
the little tadpole thingies keep drying up and going all still at which point dp does a victory dance (he loathes with a passion) and then ds sloshes more water on them and they all revive, heh

UR what do you think about publicity idea? any chance?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2008 14:15

oh Idris, the shoes are posted
I packed them very hurriedly and badly when dp announced about 8 am that he was going to the PO so there is no note or anything
hope they are useful

OB I feel really sad for you, drugs comedowns are basically why I stopped taking them
just so hideous
but will pass and you will not want to gibber every time you think of it for EVER
just for about the next year or so

no sorry I am sure it will work out, but you must talk to dp and gibber together in solidarity

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2008 14:16

if anyone sees CYTEEN could they ask her to email me
she doesn't accept CATs

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 30/05/2008 14:23

Osmosis drug comedowns are really the pits are they not? Hopefully you will have clearer vision in a few days. Has your dh discussed it at all? Perhaps he feels the same as you.

Boco et al are coming home? Marvellous

I am eating nothing but complex carbs atm - apols to emetophobes but nothing else will stay down and even dry toast won't, erm, stay put most of the time either. If I don't eat, i feel fine, but I am hungry, oh god I would kill for a plate of steamed veggies [crave] but I know what will happen

OsmosisBanana · 30/05/2008 14:28

Phew. Thought I might get booted out of the 10/10 yurt for confessions of drug taking.

stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 14:33

didn't it used to be obligatory in yurts

stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 14:37

hi fran lucky you with dp off
are you feeling ok with your pelvis?
just realised I'll be offline for most of july so will pick up zoolet news very late
unless you can go trampolining with g and t in hand after having a curry in the next few weeks

UnderRated · 30/05/2008 14:38

I did wonder about publicity. I am sure The Sun would have a field day. I think I may need to wait for legal stuff to be done though. There would be lots of bad things that would come out too and I don't want everyone to know everything. I followed the Fran Lyons's case closely because there are some similarities. The consulate can't help and I don't know who else to try.

Why did I think you were moving, stuffit? I know you are not.

FMF, is this birthday food you are talking about? I want to eat rose petals. They most defineitly should count.

OB, sounds very confusing and upsetting. No advice, I'm afraid, but I hope you are able to put it behind you and have a happier weekend.

UnderRated · 30/05/2008 14:39

Can any of you help with my ethical chocolate question

berolina · 30/05/2008 14:41

OB, your post is gone but

Sympathy to tigerfeet.

Have bought a lot of fruit after fruit deprivation this morning. Just off to prepare it. Unusually I brought the boys straight home after picking up ds1 - it is too hot for even the botanic garden. dh wants to take ds1 to an air show tomorrow quite apart from the ethics of it, there is a heat warning out. AIBU to not want him to go?

UnderRated · 30/05/2008 14:41

OB, 10/10ers don't ever seem shocked by anything.

stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 14:58

no I am moving, to asia

glad you're not horrified I was lying in bed last night thinking of you and your situation (saying a wee prayer actually told you I was old and mumsy) and thought
"British mother forced to leave child by US immigration laws" would do the Daily Mail proud -- might provoke some compassionate intervention

it's horrible I know but if you do reach the end of the road it may be time for desperate measures

stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 15:02

the thought of you having to come home without your baby -- it doesn't bear thinking about
sorry to bang on, I know you don't want it discussed much

UnderRated · 30/05/2008 15:03

I did know you were moving to that place I am sooo confused. I am going to the dr now and may add 'addled brain' to the list of things to get checked out.

I hope I don't have to resort to tabloid coverage. A lot of people would get hurt. But when I consider my options, or lack of, that's what I keep thinking of.

FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2008 15:08

if you want it completely expunged OB then I suggest you ask to get a couple of other posts deleted also, which refer specifically to what happened

bero I don't really know what an air show is. What are the ethics of it then? The green issue? Or is it military or something?

stuffit yes thank god dp had about 5 days holiday to take before the end of May
it has come just at the right time, but god knows how next month will go
pelvis is crummy really
I can usually only walk very slowly and it is not exceptionally painful, but a nasty sort of pain which upsets me
\moan

We can have boot camp
dp says we have to spend less on fruit so I may have to have an ILLICIT boot camp
and stash nectarines in the toilet cistern etc

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 15:09

I hope you don't too. And you don't want your children in the paper -- nowadays that means forever. But other people are playing dirty by the sounds of it. I am keeping everything crossed for you.

FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2008 15:09

UR I think if ordinary legal channels fail you then it is worth trying virtually anything (obviously within bounds of the law )
please let us know if we can do something to help over here in the UK

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 15:10

you hardly ever moan fran considering it's that bad
are we back to toilets again

shall i just say before my children come home from school poo wee willy bum drawers

i think that covers it

FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2008 15:11

ds has those same little spots again, this time on his ankles
I think something is biting him but what would it be? they are very small plain red spots which usually scab over, maybe because he says they are a bit itchy

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 15:12

It could be worth an enquiry soon UR ..having something ready to run if your time becomes very short but not if everything is sorted out

i sound very callous but was in the business in a mild sort of a way

stuffitllama · 30/05/2008 15:12

those mosquito playmates?
