Love, strength and fondest wishes to OJ, Steve and the kids

In my thought

Izabella · 19/05/2008 13:43

OJ, hope MIL doesn't spit her usual venom. The fact that Steve's wishes have been documented in black and white on a number of occasions doesn't give her a leg to stand on. Hope Steve is ok today and that his breathing stays regular and hope you back is feeling better too. All my love xxx

podglet · 19/05/2008 14:01

Hi OJ,

Another lurker here wishing she could say something more adequate than thinking of you and Steve.

You are both a real inspiration.

mammyjo · 19/05/2008 14:38

Hi OJ. I am crossing my fingers that you don't get too much stress from MIL today.
Hope your back is not too painful. Lots of love xxx

lizziemun · 19/05/2008 14:57

Whooosh · 19/05/2008 16:59

Have a stiff drink and deal with her safe in the knowledge you are a better person than she will ever be and you have two bouncers at hand

BoysAreLikeDogs · 19/05/2008 17:41

Good luck with the witch MIL tonight

Love and hugs to you all

onlyjoking9329 · 19/05/2008 17:45

Had a call from Mac nurse today she says that they can't get here tomorrow til 12.30 so do i ask steves mum to extend tomorrows vist so the doc and mac nurse can see her?
it is very hard to talk to MIL as she doesn't stop to listen she just walks throu the room on a mission to see steve or to leave the house after her vist.
i don't yet know what to do for the best.

Marina · 19/05/2008 17:46

Hang on to the drink and threaten her with the rest, not sure which is scarier
Hope it goes OK tonight, thinking of you X

BoysAreLikeDogs · 19/05/2008 17:49

OJ perhaps you could march with her to Steve's room, and tell her about the 12 30 visit, ask her to stay through gritted teeth

This way you cannot Be Critiscised for keeping her out of the loop [curls lip]

onlyjoking9329 · 19/05/2008 17:53

of course it means she will be here much longer, i am stressed enough with her being here for two hours.

WendyWeber · 19/05/2008 17:57

Could you text her about it? I'm guessing she wants to talk to them (to complain about you find out all about Steve's care) so maybe you can negotiate for her to come later?

VaginaShmergina · 19/05/2008 18:00

I think you should say that they would like to see her ( so she feels important, and could she wait )

All thru gritted teeth whilst hiding the baseball bat behind your back !!!

Madlentileater · 19/05/2008 18:01

' I know you want to have a chat with the doctor and nurse, but they've just told me they can't come till 12.30- i'd hate you to be put out and have to wait around for ages, so maybe you could come a bit later? what time would suit you? why not come just before 12.30 and see Steve later?'
