For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have never heard of this pooing in the library phenomenon. It doesn't work for me. Looks like you're stuck til Tuesday, Toot. Unless you have peaches, pears or plums.

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 20:24

Actually, I think a lot of people poo in libraries, but oddly. There seem to be splodges in odd places
I mean, how does one poo down the front, outside of the loo?

berolina · 04/05/2008 20:25

Pleasantly full after pumpkin soup with pumpkin seeds and chickpeas, and salad with toasted sunflower seeds. Both boys asleep. I need to hand ds2 (is asleep in my arms) to dh, finish the washing-up and have a shower.

Feel very left out of all the FB talk. I have a rather irrational terror of it and similar sites. There are people from when I was growing up that I really don't want to encounter/find/be found by.

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 20:25

We don't have heating atm. I could try a hot water bottle?

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 20:26

I don't know why I put a question mark there.

stuffitall · 04/05/2008 20:28

Lol it's not the heating, it's the mooching. Bookshops work too. Something about the quiet and the relaxing. I read about a doctor who recommended it to his constipated old ladies.

Also afraid of fb but irrationally want to see what i'm missing

stuffitall · 04/05/2008 20:29

I so love it when the garden's "done" for a week. Just have to mow the lawn on Tuesday then can sit and sigh in it.

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 20:30

Ds2 has been getting sharp pains in his head above sore eye today. Could this be related to injury? Or a reaction to squinting? [concerned]

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 20:30

Stuffit, come and pull out small weeds with me.

UnderRated · 04/05/2008 20:31

I don't understand FB. I am on there, with minimal information, and I play scrabble. From time to time, I inactivate my account but nosiness always gets the better of me.

Ok, I must go out now.

Lovely to have 2 sleeping boys, Bero. Hope your tummyache gets sorted out soon, Toot.

littlerach · 04/05/2008 20:31

We have been to the circus.

Both girls loved it,and didn't cry. we delyed taking them for years, as dd1 used ot be scared of people dressed up.

Veg bake type thing, with courgettes and pappers.
Brocolo, carrots and sweetcorn.
Museli with apricots
Tomaotes
More starnge lychee things.

They are a bit lik elychees, but have very smooth skins. They are pretty much the same inside.
The girl at the market did tell me, somehting like lydons?

DH has been digging our new garden lots more, as it has been dry, and it is starting to look like osemthing other than wasteland.

stuffitall · 04/05/2008 20:35

I can spend a long time weeding. Sorry about the pain -- it'll be a nightmare to see someone tomorrow won't it.

FrayedKnot · 04/05/2008 20:36

TooT

things which might work

Drink two big glasses of water

Massage your tummy ina clockwise direction

Nettle tea ( can you find some real young fresh nettles which haven;t possibly had dog wee on them?)

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 20:37

I don't know if I should be worried or not.

Hello LittleRach - is that the circus that has been advertised muchly locally?

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 20:38

Oh thank you FK
Yes, quite a lot of nettles in the garden.

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 20:43

pinkspottywellies · 04/05/2008 21:18

I don't know if I can handle this. I might have to unfriend you all. I can't cope with all this real name stuff!

Did anyone see the Mumsnet news email the other week when they tried to pretend that Littlelapin is called Jane!!!!

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 21:20

Can you unfriend people?
