For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Sweden is beeeautiful. All those lakes and forests and so child-friendly.

TooTicky · 06/05/2008 00:05

Bero, I have just made you one of my mates so you can see my photos

TooTicky · 06/05/2008 00:08

Okay, I must go to bed. Night all

berolina · 06/05/2008 00:09

Oh it sounds lovely. Doubt we'll go in the foreseeable future - holidays, when they can be afforded, have to be in the UK, because of the whole wanting dses to have an idea of their (literally) 'mother country'.

I do wish ds2 didn't need such constant physical contact. But no, I am an Attachment Parent and I'm very lucky to have him. Mustn't moan. He has woken up, fed and dropped back off. Might attempt bed soon.

IdrisTheDragon · 06/05/2008 00:09

I must also go to bed.

Night

berolina · 06/05/2008 00:10

After being 2 weeks late my period arrived - and is still going on after 2.5 weeks. I mean properly. The other day I though t it had gone but then I got period pains and it's started again...I feel wretched.

avi I have been missing you but I thought you were just busy
completely understand about not wanting to talk about illness as makes it too real
however you must do something about it
tell one of us secretly if you like and it might not seem so appalling any more

Thanks all for nice words about festival / ds etc
dp would also not have such a good time without me there as he would be stuck in the tent with ds from 9 or so every evening, listening to all the big headline bands playing ha ha ha
we will go next year with small new person and have a good time
I was also meant to be working there this year so it would be especial sore spot if they went without me

I will use the spray ay home, Lully, especially if this weather carries on being so hot.

I'm not sure I can take a cleansing action just yet, I had to breathe as if I was in labour earlier as the cramps were quite breathtaking. it does feel as if the scar will pop open but of course it won't, everything is just very bruised.

Franny - I took in apples, carrots, dried fruit and nuts, rice cakes, juice and cereal bars but the entire time I was there I ate three mouthfuls of soup, a piece of chicken and a sandwich. I was not hungry. A couple of times I ordered a meal and it was so vile I sent it back and asked for the sandwich box and then dcs ate that when they came.

DH has bought lots of nice food now though. Have just made a mango, strawberry, raspberry, banana, apple, passionfruit and lime salad. It was lovely, but now I am going to rest from the exertion.

MrsCarrot · 06/05/2008 10:18

fans self, am not declaring myself fab despite throne-like status on the dofa.

MrsCarrot · 06/05/2008 10:19

gah, SOFA

TooTicky · 06/05/2008 11:43

Fmf - chocolate is actually necessary in these situations. And hugs {{{{{}}}}}}

MrsC - hope those horrid cramps ease soon.

Sorry Bero, I am no good at resizing or anything really on the computer. Looking forward to seeing your boys

TooTicky · 06/05/2008 11:47

Lully, I have been using your lullyboo email. Is that the right one?

Have put off EWO visit and arranged to send report instead

I have bought some French watercress and it isn't nearly as nice as the local one I usually buy. It is more brutal and less zingy.
Am eating tahini, watercress, cucumber and apple sandwich.

FrannyandZooey · 06/05/2008 12:55

TooT how is your bottom? Mine is a lot better (I know you have all been fretting about this)

baked beans mmm mmm

have phoned obstetric physio and she has a cancellation and I can see her tonight
gah and eek at the price though

OP posts:
TooTicky · 06/05/2008 13:06

My bottom is improving but a little odd. Uncomfortable in the evenings after eating, feel sort of bloated and blocked.
Perhaps I need a more summery diet. May have to give up bread again too

Good luck with your physio. If it's not worth the money, go and bang on the counter (as my grandmother says).

TooTicky · 06/05/2008 13:06

Your lollies sound very nice.

Tatties · 06/05/2008 13:15

Ooh I have had a busy weekend, things are afoot in the Tatties household

MrsC it is great to hear from you, I am sorry I missed you yesterday. Your fruit salad sounds divine! I am glad you are being well looked after.

FMF I hope you feel better soon

Avi I am sorry about you feeling crap too...

Hugs to everyone {{{{{}}}}}

pinkspottywellies · 06/05/2008 13:18

I read that as 'go and bang on the computer' TooT and had to try and work it out!! Then I just missed and typed TiiT !

TooTicky · 06/05/2008 13:27

Tatties, what is a foot?
