For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

You should all go and see Zips brilliant comment about the spice girls in very serious 'misogyny' thread. Only funny person on there.

FrannyandZooey · 25/04/2008 20:46

jesus I must not eat probiotic yogurts
I should have learnt this by now
they hide it on the label in small letters sometimes

Fullmoonfiend · 25/04/2008 20:48

Why not? [ignorant]

FrannyandZooey · 25/04/2008 20:51

[coy]

oh alright then it gives me IBS symptoms
I couldn't work out why I had to get up at 6 am for a poo this morning
then just ate another yogurt rushed to loo and penny dropped (no pun intended)

Fullmoonfiend · 25/04/2008 20:52

aahhhhh! I thought they were supposed to be good for stuff like that...
Or is the idea they stp you feeling all bloated because they rip your insides inside out?

FrannyandZooey · 25/04/2008 20:54

I dunno
I think they give you healthy intestinal flora don't they, in theory
my intestinal flora is ruddy marvellous though and it just upsets it
I had the exact same thing when I tried them before - have never bought since
but these crept under my radar
ruddy pain as will be crampy and dodgy tomorrow and have to do sports job

FrayedKnot · 25/04/2008 20:55

I used cider vinegar because I didn;t have any wine vinegar

And the custard I am making with the trillion egg yolks left over doesn;t look like it's going to coat the back of a spoon anytime soon

littlerach · 25/04/2008 21:04

Pavlova - drool.
Def vinegar. Even tjugh it sounds weirid.

FrayedKnot · 25/04/2008 21:12

It looks OK

And custard is custardy

Now, should I leave it in oven overnight?

I like this cooking in the evening thing.

Who was it who wanted to have a cook-in one night?

FrayedKnot · 25/04/2008 21:13

Franny can you eat loads of cake or something?

I'm sure it would help.

OsmosisBanana · 25/04/2008 21:28

why custrad? surely not with the pavlova?

ladywombling · 25/04/2008 21:44

Franster,

I am rofl at this: "my intestinal flora is ruddy marvellous though"

Hope you are feeling better.

Marsala steak, rice, pakchoi and mangotrout peas (Mangetout as pronounced by ex bf's mum). Peach, apple, strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries 2 satsumas, watercress

FrayedKnot · 25/04/2008 22:16

Lol at mangotrout

I would like to know to what do you accredit your ruddy marvellous flora?

Is it the kiki again? I must get some.

No, the custard was to use up the 8 egg yolks, not to serve with the pavlova!!

DS & DH can have the custard tomorrow, cider flavoured pavlova is for Sunday.

I'm finally doing the treatment for weird skin thing having had the dr give the wrong stuff twice. Have had to cover myself from head to toe in vile stuff, even my hair. for 12 hours. Have drunk rather lots of wine to help with the general stinging. It does sting.
