munching cheesey puff crispy things, alternating between small g&t and small gin and red bull. Am being careful actually in case i need to be around for ds later. Later I will be having a couple of Asda meat free burgers, oven baked, split, layered with onion and melted chilli brie, on a large white batch, american mustard and mayo on the bottom, tabasco and ketchup on the top...oh and maybe a few oven chips...... well you did ask!!!!

dandycandyjellybean · 02/05/2008 21:34

wot a pig!!! no wonda i am a bit of a fatso!

gerbrajess · 02/05/2008 21:42

wow! If i may be so bold - if you get munchies later on, try putting cheesy wotsit type things in a sandwich with a bit of mayo....(works even better with twiglets + lettuce + a bit of pepper...)

am a bit pissed now! am trying to stay awake til peep show - my fave show ever...

dandycandyjellybean · 02/05/2008 21:46

thanx for the tip but will be totally porked once i've eaten all that! will just have enough energy to fall into bed. but thanx. never seen peep show, but I think it was another thing that started as a comedy show on r4, so I think i might have heard it. enjoy anyway hun, you seem a bit more positive now. you really are doing fantastically well. I would be chuffed to have half your week under my belt. nighty night. xxx

gerbrajess · 02/05/2008 21:48

Stripteasle · 02/05/2008 22:19

HI- have had to settle with staying in with DD1 instead, which aint so bad! We're watching Derren Brown together.

Gerbra- cheesy wotsits, twiglets?! Good god lass, what horror is this of which you speak?!
Glad the hairy one gave you some company- hope your ds is better soon- now YOUR food sounded yummy.

gerbrajess · 02/05/2008 22:30

stripteasle you have to be a marmite lover to appreciate the delicacy that is a twiglet sandwich!

I feel a bit that I got a bit paranoid tonight - but hell i've admitted a drinking problem, an ED ... so why not the ole' paranoia as well!

Am snuggling back to watch peep show now - my fave (pulling (the show) comes a close second...)

jellibabe · 03/05/2008 06:31

Kokeshi I hope your going to keep posting. I am really missing your insight.

Suppose to be going to my Dad's today. Have been rehearsing rejecting the wine which is usually offered at lunch. He is not aware that I have any problem with drink and I don't feel like going into it today. Will mention antibiotics.

Xp has texted me to tell me he is going to a 50th and can't take the kids till sun. Feel very pissed off.

My son will be upset. Think my daughter will understand. They will still see their Dad on Sun but these last minute notifications rocks their feelings of security and makes it hard for me to make plans. Last sun I got a late night text on Sat asking me to collect kids at 12am on Sun as he was going to watch football. I know this is my xp's way of getting back at me. We all suffer but he does not seem to care.

He complains about lack of communication. Still when I try it just opens the door for him to be abusive or screw my head up. He twists the things I say anyway so I communicate by text (that way I at least have a record of what was said). The phone is only for emergencies.

jellibabe · 03/05/2008 06:37

Facebook is great but it's no replacement for being able to swop your experience and opinions with so many other people at once.

Well done Gerbra on your non smoking. Keep it up and please post any tips you have.

dandycandyjellybean · 03/05/2008 07:34

jellibabe, your xp sounds like a total twat if you don't mind my saying! Really hope you cope okay today at lunch. Just keep repeating to yourself...I am stronger than I think...I am stronger than I think! or alternatively I am stronger than the drink! Sorry sounded flip but didn't mean it to be. Let us know how you get on.

Morning all. Lovely ds appears miraculously recovered this morning and was bouncing and singing at the top of his voice at 6.30. When I remonstrated through the wall, he says 'but it's not too early mommy, it's not. you get your tea and i'll have some milk.'

have a good day.

BottlebinBerrie · 03/05/2008 08:11

Morning all.
Well done Gerbra for your week. Your feeelings on drinking again last night sound just like mine when we had ours last Saturday. On the whole we found it a positive thing that we found the drinking was not all we'd thought it was going to be.

Glad your little one is feeling better Hairy.

Jellibabe, hope lunch went ok. Doing anything nice today?

jellibabe · 03/05/2008 09:50

Hairybiker you don't sound flip, you just made me smile. Will be thinking about I am stronger than the drink at lunch today.

Totally agree xp is a twat .

gerbrajess · 03/05/2008 12:09

Morning all...

Jellibabe - you're the bigger person here - it sounds like he wants it all on his terms... Good luck with lunch - have you done a lunch before with your dad and you weren't drinking (or did i imagine it?!). I reckon ABs are a good idea if you're not wanting to tell him you've quit drinking. You've done so well - how long is it now?

Re smoking I've been chewing nicotine gum but I get the fruit flavour and it tastes lovely so i eat too much of it and it gives me v bad wind!

BB - it was weird! Spent most of the week fantasising about this magical friday - nothing much to do, DP away, time to relax, have wine, watch crap TV, MN etc. and it was a huge letdown. Felt a bit paranoid, melancholy (thanks for cheering me up teasle and hairy!) and pretty shyte really... Am going to aim to stop drinking on sunday this week and take it through til Friday...[gulp].

Got woken up early by two policemen (asking about a car in the street) and they looked when I opened the door - i looked like a yetti with bloodshot eyes and hair all over the place!

Have a good day everyone ...

gerbra x

dinny · 03/05/2008 12:12

hi, all, hi Gerbgra

well done for making it to friday! I drank last night and feel rotten today - woke up feeling slightly sick, edgy and heart going too fast

bleurgh - I may give next friday a miss!

come and find me on Facebook so I can bore you about my job x

Stripteasle · 03/05/2008 12:52

Hi everyone.

Jelli- I remember the first times that I went out after I had stopped drinking, and I really had to plan it in my mind, but hey, its a good feeling when you've done it. I think planning how to handle situations really is the key. I went through loads of scenarios in my mind, but it was never half as bad as any of them!
Good luck anyway, tell us how it went.

HI Dinny- not 'seen' you around for a while!

Hope the weekend is going well for everyone. I'm stuck pretty much in the house all this weekend as DS1 is grounded.

dinny · 03/05/2008 12:55

hi Teasle, I've been Sillytilly for a bit

gerbrajess · 03/05/2008 13:43

Hi Dinny...I think I did it - you'll have to check and see if it worked (sent you a message to test it...)

am out and about for the day but will check this evening (I'm actually repeating what I put in my other message!)

Have a good weekend everyone - drinking or non-drinking...

Gerbra x

(well done with the (non)-drinking - you get a cracking hangover after a few days off don't you?)

sillytilly · 03/05/2008 13:55

can't see you!

what is your name on it or is it too personal to say here?

Stripteasle · 03/05/2008 13:56

Gerbra- did you CAT Dinny or send her a message on Facebook?

Stripteasle · 03/05/2008 13:57

Dinny- I'll send you a message on FB!

sillytilly · 03/05/2008 13:58

oh, cool - can you see me on BM's/Kokeshi's?

Stripteasle · 03/05/2008 13:59

i'll have a look
