For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

food wise

FrannyandZooey · 02/04/2008 20:34

peas are good pointy
if your fruit goes off before it was ready to eat you have to call it cunting
it's the Law

I am meant to be going to an antenatal exercise class tomorrow
am bit scared
what if I waddle when I should be grapevining, or something

OP posts:
eternalstudent · 02/04/2008 20:45

You make I larf Stuffit. Pears cunting in the cellar indeed.

eternalstudent · 02/04/2008 20:47

A waddle is essential when grapevining.

There used to be a very pregnant lady in an aerobics class I dragged my sorry ass along to a few years ago. It looked traumatic for her. Prob not helped by the instructor insisting on calling her 'mummy'

FrannyandZooey · 02/04/2008 20:53

I used to go to this same class when I was postnatal with ds
you can take your baby and they sit and watch in their pram or whatever
quite cute

anyway this was years ago and I wasn't waddling at the time

eternalstudent · 02/04/2008 21:00

Fucksticks, now ALL I have in my head is the 'oh yeah' bit.

Fullmoonfiend · 02/04/2008 21:00

ou knew who it was by-y, you knew who who it was by-y

Tutter · 02/04/2008 21:07

how can it be that i have read the entire thread devoted to wonderful songs you never tire of hearing

and yet all i can think is "oh yeah"

Fullmoonfiend · 02/04/2008 21:08

zippitippitoes · 02/04/2008 21:23

we get extra points dont we for good behaviour

now i have had no alcohol for a week and no coffee

FrayedKnot · 02/04/2008 21:26

"have started to eat tomato salads for lunch even when it's only me .. just so I can tell 10-10 about it.. "

We have her, girls, we have her

Before she knows it she will be intricately carving up ten different exotic fruits for her daily fruit salad just for herself

Antenatal classes = sitting on large bouncy balls and pretending to smoke a fag up your fanjo (as have posted in the past)

I should be trying to choose a new washing machine so we can go and gt one at teh weekend, and I'm not bothering

ladywombling · 02/04/2008 21:28

FK

You need a miele one,if you have enough ennies, they are fab. If not then Bosch is good I think.

ladywombling · 02/04/2008 21:29

Oh sorry: pennies!

stuffitllama · 02/04/2008 22:01

yes I'm caught, my eyes are like this ((o)) ((o)) after veg brainwashing

fn didn't you have stupid armpits a couple of days ago? perhaps someone else armpit-related. good luck with finding washing machine, i would go straight to john lewis (but as you will find out i am quite boring)

i'm going to investigate hydrogenated fats everybody by the way

pointydog · 02/04/2008 22:04
