For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Underlined in red biro

FrayedKnot · 02/04/2008 22:19

No-one has answered my washing machine thread, so thank you for your ideas

I just want one that does a quick wash in 20 mins like my Mum's Miele

But possibly without spending that many pennies

BBBee · 02/04/2008 22:28

I had a lovely meal I had:

sag paneer
and a HUGE green salad
and a nan

was good - and quite 10/10 given the circumstances

BBBee · 02/04/2008 22:29

I have a hotpoint - I have abused it with overload, no softener etc. for over ten years and is still going strong.

BBBee · 02/04/2008 22:30

N.B. - my last post refers to my washing machine not masterbation

pointydog · 02/04/2008 22:36

so do you all list the good things you have eaten? Is that what you are doing here?

pointydog · 02/04/2008 22:37

I mean, I know you all gather and give vegetative support. Are you also listing fruitable intake and quibbling over nuts?

zippitippitoes · 02/04/2008 22:37

thats it pointy

zippitippitoes · 02/04/2008 22:39

and i say thingsa like woe is me i am going to have a dirty wekend in lthuania buit i cant jusy enjpoy it it i have to ave a good dollop of angst and hand wringing
first

with some nuts and veg and fruit

and then a bit more piteous squawking

pointydog · 02/04/2008 22:44

you are going to feel guilty because your fruit n veg intake will dip? This is not healthy

zippitippitoes · 02/04/2008 22:45

well that would probably be a good 10/10 reason for angst lol

TooTicky · 02/04/2008 22:50

We have a Zanussi Jetsystem which is v. green. Quickest wash is just under an hour though.

I have no tahini I have toasted crusts and don't know what to put on them

pointydog · 02/04/2008 22:50

a tomater

TooTicky · 02/04/2008 22:51

And anyway i don't have one.

BBBee · 02/04/2008 22:55

toot no-one here gets your weird tahini thing.

peanut butter?

zippitippitoes · 02/04/2008 22:56

tahini cant be eaten on its own it is all dry and gluey

TooTicky · 02/04/2008 22:57

Tahini is food of the gods and goddesses.
I don't do peanut butter on its own and we don't have much fruit spread. I have put natex on it which is okay but better with tahini.

TooTicky · 02/04/2008 22:57

I have even been known to drizzle tahini over veg. Utter yum.

TooTicky · 02/04/2008 23:07

I see I have scared you.

zippitippitoes · 02/04/2008 23:09

well it is a bit scary

tartrex is ok

TooTicky · 02/04/2008 23:09

Tartex, yes. But I had natex
