Corroded my bum hole with bleach

This was very dumb.

Yesterday I was on the loo doing my business when I realised there was no loo roll.

No idea why I thought it would be a good idea to use anti bac wipes (kept next to the toilet for cleaning!). I thought it would be fine as I occasionally use them on my hands when I’m in a pinch (on a country walk with dog for eg).

Anyway I spent most of last night with the worst burning sensation ever. Brought tears to my eyes. I washed myself and took some ibuprofen before going to sleep.

Now that the burning pain has subsided my poor bum is really raw and sore. I’m very uncomfortable/borderline in pain but can put up with it after the hell that was last night.

What can I do beyond keeping myself clean?

Is a long walk a bad idea? The sun is shining and would love to take my dog out for a coffee and a long country walk.

Is there any point on putting on an ointment? I’m a bit wary as I’ve well and truly learned my lesson.

Oh Op, I love this thread - I feel much empathy for how your rash decision (excuse the pun!) on the wipe front has negatively impacted your bum hole and I am not revelling in your pain - but your thread has really made me laugh out loud and put the world into perspective for me.

I truly hope things have started to improve this evening. And I have made a note to self to not use an anti bac wipe in lieu of toilet paper. Ever.

I would have also gone for metanium.

Pigwig10 · 27/02/2024 18:55

Get some of the yellow Metanium ointment for babies. It’s a nappy rash cream but it’s absolutely brilliant at healing really sore and blistered bottoms (think teething symptoms). Might sting a little, but it will really help heal you. Best of luck.

Harls1969 · 27/02/2024 19:01

Bumholes are sensitive little things, which is strange really when you think about what comes out of them. But Sudocrem is probably the best, or pile cream. My bum gets a bit spicy after using some shower gels so I will definitely avoid antibac wipes. But at least yours is sparkling clean!

Pinkrinse · 27/02/2024 19:21

Sudacreme! It’s miraculous. Never be without it!

Mellowbear · 27/02/2024 20:03

Sorry but it did make me laugh. Try something babies would use as that won't sting. Xx

Screamingabdabz · 27/02/2024 20:08

I recommend ‘Acriflex’ (orange box) - it’s a burns cream and very soothing but it’s bloody brilliant on everything. I use it for occasional pain from anal fissures and it’s a miracle.

Myglassishalffullish · 27/02/2024 20:28

I have literally just watched the Olivia Atwood doc about bum hole bleaching and thought you’d done it 🥴… well I guess you sort of have 🫣
Sudocrem is a cure all 💪🏻

I’m really sorry you’re in pain OP but this was the first thing that sprang to mind when I read your post … I kinda half thought that’s what you’d done (honestly, I hope you feel better soon, zinc cream might help)

Anything safe to use on nappy rash will be ok. Hope your ring sting is better soon

Was a little concerned as to what evidence was going to be attached for a minute 😂

Ohhoho · 27/02/2024 22:23

Just water pat dry keep air to bum wear loose trousers. If sore sudocreme might soothe like it does nappy rash it is just zinc ointment. Don’t put any else on it. Let it self heal

Mrsgreen100 · 27/02/2024 22:23

Coconut oil lots of it

tolerable · 28/02/2024 00:32

@Lottsdsjpys did you request instructions for delivery "please blow through the letterbox"? ha. Sorry. i do hope your feeling less affected.

Have they improved things?

Hmm it’s hard to say.

My crack one the whole is less painful and swollen. Still sore.

But can’t say if that’s down to the creams or just the natural healing process.

I will say they are nice cool and definitely increase the chill factor when I give myself an airing in front of my bedroom window!

Another one for Metanium the baby bum cream. Contains zinc and stays on the skin well

Get some air to your bum hole.

Presumably the OP did not have either of these options handy when caught out without loo roll!

There's often water nearby. Take scoops until you are clean

Is bleaching your bum hole the same as changing your ring tone🤔? Asking for a friend…
