Corroded my bum hole with bleach

This was very dumb.

Yesterday I was on the loo doing my business when I realised there was no loo roll.

No idea why I thought it would be a good idea to use anti bac wipes (kept next to the toilet for cleaning!). I thought it would be fine as I occasionally use them on my hands when I’m in a pinch (on a country walk with dog for eg).

Anyway I spent most of last night with the worst burning sensation ever. Brought tears to my eyes. I washed myself and took some ibuprofen before going to sleep.

Now that the burning pain has subsided my poor bum is really raw and sore. I’m very uncomfortable/borderline in pain but can put up with it after the hell that was last night.

What can I do beyond keeping myself clean?

Is a long walk a bad idea? The sun is shining and would love to take my dog out for a coffee and a long country walk.

Is there any point on putting on an ointment? I’m a bit wary as I’ve well and truly learned my lesson.

Nappy rash cream will help. Avoid the Voltarol at all costs. Could also make yourself a sitz bath, just a small handful of table salt in a tepid bath to bathe your bum (I recommend it at work for herpes outbreaks so imagine it’ll do the same job for burns)

bathe in bath with bicarbonate of soda-no it wont burn.germalene or savlon, sounds gross but- so is pain...can you wrap an ice pack(even icecube in a sock. n sorta hold it a wee min or two?no idea bout frost bite on the bum- or any sorta burny ness-but at lockdown my ma sent me a shedload of that bloody toilet roll thats made wi bamboo-and it burnt my foof. am allergic bamboo... ..i also invented new swear words(not that that helped)

I'd use prep H.. it has anesthetic in and will be a comfort.

My poor Dad was terminally ill, and rang me up to shout at me because his bum was so sore he could barely sit down. "Those new wipes you got me are horrendous" he said.... turns out he was using Dettox wipes that I'd got to clean the toilet, not the Andrex sensitive wet wipes he always had.

That took some explaining to the district Nurse.... They told us to use Sudocrem and it took a few days to heal.

Am I the only one who came on here expecting this to be a case of anal bleaching gone wrong?

I have nearly done the same thinking dettol wipes were baby wipes. So glad I caught myself in time. Sounds painful!

OP I strongly encourage you to start reading the packets of products you're using. I can't believe a grown adults would even consider putting volterol on any broken skin never mind you're arsehole.

I wouldn't put any cream on it. Might make it worse just keep washing with some cotton wool. Some ice on it will help.

As a young child I had a sore bum hole, my mum told me to put Vaseline on it. I got mixed up and put Vicks Vaporub on it instead, somewhat compound8ng the problem. As long as I live, I will never forget the menthol sting.

This is almost as funny as that idiot that ate the fat ball.
