Nasty cold virus

Anyone else got a nasty cold/cough virus which comes and goes and seems especially cling on type?

Had this for about a week. Feel like you’re getting better then bam no. Not Covid. Tested a few times.

Yes, into week 3. To add insult to injury I returned from 2 weeks in the Caribbean on Monday!

DS has had it since October. He's had an inhaler, steroids and nasal spray from the GP but nothing is shifting it.

My friend in Switzerland. Her teenage son has had a bad cough for the past few weeks which isn’t shifting.

Hope everyone feels better soon.

I used to get sinus infections sometimes as head colds as a teenager and sinus area hurting a bit so praying it isn’t that.

That’s it. Not so much me with a cough, but my stepdad I saw last weekend and think caught this off… he’s got a horrendous cough and this virus. And he’s rarely ill. Was at gym though (him). A real cling on.

Yes, I’ve got it. I’ve got bad congestion, exhaustion, and also an upset stomach. No temperature, but I’ve been unwell enough to spend a couple of days in bed.

I've had it now for two full weeks. First week was horrendous but feeling fine now. Just can't get rid of this awful cough!!!😤😤😤🤭🤭🤭

I've had a runny cold for the last four months. Nothing seems to have helped. I've tried Coldrex, Lemsip, staying in the warm, going out for a brisk walk. Nothing has shifted it.
Very boring.

Yeah only a week in to it but it's the second virus I've had in about 3 months (not normal for me) No cough but awful head cold and pains in my joints. Started with a massive headache then a sore throat. Just exhausted. I don't know why but every cold I've had since covid has been terrible they were never like this before. Hope you feel better soon

The cough is the thing. I’ve got a cough a bit. But my stepdad according to my DM has a horrid cough. He is never ill!

I don’t want it to go to my sinuses. Had sinusitis years ago twice and had to get antibiotics as first lot wouldn’t shift it.

Used to get evil head colds in teens which kind of reminds me of this. Think prob sinusitis but just not treated.

Dh and I flew back from LA straight into Covid followed by the 3 week cold. Meant to be skiing but looks like dh has the 100 day cough.. don't you just love the uk in winter.

Yes. Since the middle of November I've always seem to have some sort of annoying dry cough /cold,horrible gungy catarrh in nose and throat and losing my voice.Have lost my voice just now and have very sore throat. Seems never ending.

Yes! Been coughing since just after Christmas. GP told me it’s viral and to come back if it’s not gone in another two weeks. It’s really, really rubbish. I did dry January and would really like a drink now!

Had one like that back in October. Took a good month to get rid of. No sign of anything bacterial, so just snuffled it out.

Yes and it's really nasty.

Awful chesty cough, sinuses have been so painful and absolutely floored with exhaustion and pain. Felt like it was going after a couple of days but then went on to totally wipe me out. It's a nasty one.

Mine started mid December and has stop started since then. Think I now have sinus infection as it hurts to turn my head and is agony when I bend over.

I've just developed an awful chesty cough that won't shift and have now lost my voice . Meds from the pharmacy aren't helping and I'm on holiday next Friday, awful .
