Yes twice a day. Mum got us into a cleanse, tone, moisturise routine from around 12 years old.

Payakan · 27/01/2024 09:58

At least twice a day, face and body. Sometimes face, more often during the weekend.

Enko · 27/01/2024 10:04

Twice a day.

theduchessofspork · 27/01/2024 10:06

Not always but it’s a lot better when I do, twice a day.

If you have combination skin there are moisturising gels and stuff which won’t make it greasy.

Gymmum82 · 27/01/2024 10:37

Yes. Twice a day. Every day. Have done for decades. I also moisturise my whole body after showering and have since I was a teen. I think it’s odd people don’t

Sumsummer · 27/01/2024 10:48

Hell yeah, like brushing my teeth

Glittering1 · 27/01/2024 11:19

Nivea soft in the morning or whenever I have a shower. I have very good skin for my age. Went through a phase a couple of years ago when I felt I should have a proper skin care routine. Bought all the recommended lotions and potions and to be honest my skin looked worse and didn't feel good.

Mudflapflat · 27/01/2024 11:25

I think of brushing your teeth as health and hygiene. Whereas I think of moisturising as for comfort and appearance. More like a luxury or pampering thing.

megletthesecond · 27/01/2024 11:29

yes. Always since I was late teens, am almost 50.
Either a few pats of lush Shangri-la or Nivea blue tub. I shower and wash my face every day. Skin is always fine. I eat well, don't drink and have never smoked though.

My mums opinion is that as i shower every am - she says that doesnt help my skin

But i need my am shower

Will experiment with some moisturisers - i have sensitive skin
And form for often reacting to stuff tho

I don't understand what showering has to do with it -surely you'd still clean your face even if you didn't shower?

TeachesOfPeaches · 27/01/2024 11:39

I thought everybody did

Ted27 · 27/01/2024 11:44

When I was 11 my nan took me to Woolies cosmetics counter and the lady recommended their cucumber range.
I've cleansed, toned and moisturised twice a day every day since then, even when I was on adventure trips and living in a tent in the desert.
I use Espa products now- a bit pricey but I never pay full price as I stock up in their sales. There have been times when I couldnt afford this stuff and I've used Nivea, which are great products.

I just I like the espa stuff and that my bathroom smells like a spa.
I'm 58, no wrinkles yet and most people think I'm in my 40s, not pushing 60.
It may be genetic though as both my nan, until she hit very old age, and mum have great skin

GreyBlackLove · 27/01/2024 09:19

Yes, moisturizer in the morning, serum in the evening

This and a moisturising face mask thing once a week

CheesecakeandCrackers · 27/01/2024 11:56

I don't do every day, I do when I feel I need it, I often get spotty if I do twice daily so I tend to wash my face at night, moisturise then nothing in the morning. I have very clear skin so if I've not worn make up I don't even give it a full wash at night. I had a little breakout last weekend so this week have minimised moisturiser until it cleared up.

Carerandmum · 27/01/2024 12:06

I use aloe vera gel as moisturiser as I have such sensitive skin it reacts to everything else

Mairzydotes · 27/01/2024 12:17

Yes, but only my cheeks. My t zone rarely gets dry , so I just do that when needed

SwordToFlamethrower · 27/01/2024 14:26

Ain't nobody got time for that

myphoneisbroken · 27/01/2024 15:17

I don't wear make up and just wash my face with water, so I don't get that tight feeling. I think my skin is better now - I feel like in the past I was just taking off moisture with cleaners and adding it back with moisturiser. I do wear SPF in summer though.

Radiat · 27/01/2024 15:18

Yes, morning and evening after washing, recently I’ve found if I don’t my skin starts feeling tight and dry. I just use Simple stuff, I found other things either make my face react, or feel too heavy for my skin.

HowDoTheyGetThroughLife · 27/01/2024 15:18

Yes, Cereve at night, and Simple light moisturing lotion in the morning

Bigearringsbigsmile · 27/01/2024 15:20

Yes with aveeno for dry skin. I do it as soon as I get out of the shower or my face feels shrivelled

Mintymatchmakerheaven · 27/01/2024 15:23

I'm in my 50s and I've moisturised in the morning after a shower for as long as i can remember. Started doing a night cream a couple of years ago. I'm going to start using an eye serum as my under eye is starting to look really wrinkly 😞

Cappuccinfortwo · 27/01/2024 15:25

SwordToFlamethrower · 27/01/2024 14:26

Ain't nobody got time for that

It takes about 5 seconds!

Mumaway · 27/01/2024 15:25

Morning and night, without fail

hopeishere · 27/01/2024 15:27

Yes. In the morning. And a serum in the evening (if I remember!)
