For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco, sorry your lesson was shite. One problem puts you on edge and then it all goes to pot. Next lesson will be fine.
I get really nervous near school because I nearly pulled out in front of a p/t teacher one morning and felt AWFUL then, having been utterly paranoid near school for a couple of months I then nearly pulled out in front of her again. I am now more paranoid than ever when leaving school and have to check mirrors, look over shoulders several times and even open door to look properly. I have never pulled out in front of anybody else anywhere else.

Interesting feedback on microwaves. I shall tell dd1 that if we are complete weirdos, at least we are in good company

TigerFeet · 19/03/2008 12:56

I was shocking at manoeuvres (I had to look up the spelling Idris ). The only reason I passed my (second) test was because I wasn't asked to do a reverse park. We didn't have to do backing into a supermarket parking space in my day [gimmer]

I took my test the day I handed in my dissertation in my last year at university. I was too tired and stressed to worry about driving so I passed with flying colours . My instructor nearly passed out with shock.

zippitippitoes · 19/03/2008 12:59

i am actually rather brilliant at parking

you learn if you have to park in a twon centre cos thats where you live

i actually like parking now

except when my period is due when my drigving csan be a bit erratic that is when i stop at green traffic lights

IdrisTheDragon · 19/03/2008 12:59

I only passed my test as I didn't have to do parallel parking (is that the same as reverse parking? Still can't do it ).

Failed my 1st test with a three point turn where the examiner had to put the emergency brake on. Had him for my second test and passed.

Didn't have the supermarket parking space in my day either. Or theory tests. Would probably fail if I had to take my test today I should think.

TigerFeet · 19/03/2008 13:04

I'm fantastic at driving now of course

A real pro

Hardly ever cause accidents

I am the muts nuts when it comes to hill starts. I learned to drive in Sheffield where every start is a hill start.

Yes Idris I they are the same, parallel parking was the phrase I was searching my tired brain for when I typed my post.

lullabyloo · 19/03/2008 13:06

oh dear

one of the other mothers thought she was coming to us for lunch with her dds....i definately had not invited her

ds was given an m&s crispy cake thing for his snack today
he is quite delighted

TooTicky · 19/03/2008 13:17

lullabyloo · 19/03/2008 13:21

TigerFeet · 19/03/2008 14:05

lullabyloo · 19/03/2008 14:05

TigerFeet · 19/03/2008 14:06

zippitippitoes · 19/03/2008 14:07

TigerFeet · 19/03/2008 14:07

mps thread? [ears prick up]

is there scandal? gossip? FIGHTING?

TooTicky · 19/03/2008 14:16

Green & Blacks are now owned by Cadbury's
Cadbury's, who won't actually set a date for stopping using cocoa produced by slave labour and child labour.

lullabyloo · 19/03/2008 14:16

ah....glad it's been deleted
hope mp will be ok
perhaps not the best decision really

lullabyloo · 19/03/2008 14:19

i was about to donate ds's chocolate gift from nursery to somebody else....but they are montezuma bunnies
somebody else got cadbury mini eggs....
Do you think they have cottoned on to my fussy ways?

IdrisTheDragon · 19/03/2008 14:40

I saw the beginning of mp's thread.

Franny, I think I have finally worked out what your DS's name is. For some reason I feel ridicioulsy proud of this.

Boco · 19/03/2008 14:56

What was mp's thread?
I had to go to preschool where they put the childrens cut up bits of painting in a plastic frame and charge you a fiver.

What happened?

MrsCarrot · 19/03/2008 16:03

Cadburys bought them a long time ago I think
