Oh dear a little too much enthusisiam.

lilibet · 12/06/2008 10:04

I wasn't even going very fast

The hissing ducks could easily have outrun me

electricbarbarella · 12/06/2008 10:10

I am like that, I am sure i run slower than I walk.
Have a few days rest and warm up next time, it becomes fun very quickly I promise.

Itsthawooluff · 12/06/2008 10:40

Welcome Lilibet, I was the same when I'd done my first session, (and my second , and my third.....), but it really does get a lot easier. Your muscles get stronger really amazingly quickly, and you find you recover much faster - don't give up.

Also, proper running trainers are a great help rather than general trainers, but don't feel you have to go and spend £££'s - my £25 Mizuna's (in a sale) are great.

If I have to wait a long time for whatever I've managed to banjax to put itself right, I might be meeting you back on the week three program - for every week off, you are supposed to go back 2 weeks in your training program, and I'd only just reached 30 mins

LadyJogsAlot · 13/06/2008 09:53

oh dear wooluf, i'll be joining you too!
lili, make sure you do keep up walking as it will help to sort out your muscles.

i think if you exercise regularly you don't tend to get too achey which is why it's hard at the beginning.

don't give up though, before you know it you'll be running about all over the place

electricbarbarella · 13/06/2008 12:08

I;m going to try again tonight, it's taken till today for me to not be hobbline down the stairs when I get up.

It's 9 weeks today off my holidays

Flier · 16/06/2008 11:19

hello, I'd like to join you please ladies.
I'm doing the Baxters 10k in Inverness in 16 weeks time, and have done basically no running yet.

Anyone else have a dh who works long hours and children at home during the day with you? How do you manage to fit in your running? (I'm shattered come 8pm)

Itsthawooluff · 16/06/2008 13:06
