God, just seen this. How absolutely awful for you, and your poor dh, of course. I really don't know what to say except how sorry I am. It's terribly and I hope that he will be able to spend Christmas with you.

Santasluckylittlehelper · 24/12/2004 12:32

Hope it works out misdee. Can you have him home for the day and then take him back if he's not really better. Any news on an infection?

Hope you have the best Christmas possible. Look after yourself too, OK?

Really hoping it all works out for you, Misdee. There was a bit in our local rag this week, a woman celebrating the 9th anniversary of her transplant. I'm not sure if she has the same condition as your dh? Anyway, her story is here. Best wishes to you all.

misdee · 24/12/2004 20:55

he is home!!

very skinny and pale looking, but home.

he is getting annoyed as the 1st thing people say when they see him is 'oh my, you;ve lost so much weight'. he has lost over a stone in the last few weeks. so he now weighs 11stone, and is 6ft tall.

Santasluckylittlehelper · 26/12/2004 12:55

Misdee - was thinking of you yesterday and hoping that you managed to get him home, even if just for the day. Hope you and the girls had a good one.

Hulababy · 26/12/2004 14:03

Pleased to hear that you were able to have Christmas together at home.
