Oh OJ - sorry to hear about the upset at visiting time. It's going to take a few days to settle. Meantime, try and get as much rest as you can. As mums/wifes we are in demand by everyone and you need to keep your strength up. So you have someone to look after the children during the day so you can catch up on sleep? xx

lilyloo · 12/02/2008 21:37

OJ, my best wishes and thoughts to you all, I hope that Steve is more settled tomorrow. Has Steve's mam come to terms with everything now?

Izabella · 12/02/2008 23:46

OJ, my heart goes out to you, hun. My dh had a brain tumour so I know a bit about what you are going through. Here's a huge (((( )))) for you. You must miss having Steve in your bed although I'm sure you're still waking up out of habit to check he is ok. Sorry, your son got upset. I can understand Steve's frustration at wanting to be home. Its so tough but you've done the right thing. I know its the last thing you're thinking of right now but try to set aside a little time, even if its just 5 mins in a day and do whatever you feel like, even if that is absolutely nothing! You need to take care of yourself as well.xxx

yorkiemom · 13/02/2008 08:18

oj I wish I could do more than send you my best wishes. I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through, but I just want to say that I think you are an incredible wife and mother, and you are doing a fantastic job. I hope Steve is settled today. You are in my thoughts and prayers. xx

xx

NorthernLurker · 13/02/2008 10:04

OJ - your kids will have many good memories of their dad - what is happening now will only be a small part of a large and loving whole.

onlyjoking9329 · 13/02/2008 14:05

the kids have gone to respite carers until this evening so i am having a coffee and then going in to see steve, i haven't phoned the hospice to see how he is cos i would only be stressing until i could get there.

NorthernLurker · 13/02/2008 14:07

That sounds very sensible OJ - you have to take care of yourself - hope you're having some lunch as well as a drink!

bundle · 13/02/2008 14:08

Cookiesandscream · 13/02/2008 17:10

I hope Steve was more settled today, it must be very hard to leave him there when he is wanting to come home
