Steve is going into the hospice this afternoon

i know he needs to be there and hopefully they can get him more stable.

Sorry to hear that, OJ. It took everything DH had to take care of MIL, and he only had to take care of her, not 3 other kids, and I came down and did the shopping and cleaning for him. We are thinking of you from 1/2 a world away. Hopefully they can help Steve, and you can help yourself. xx

hope you got some sleep OJ. It is never easy to turn your mind off and sleep - even when you really need it.

yes I did get some sleep, I didn't want to have a full nights sleep imagine the shock to the system that would have been

my plans for today to drink the cup of coffee that elliot has made me we are having a snuggle elliot taking advantage of his dads side of the bed. Then get the kids ready as the girls teaching assistant is taking them out until 5 then I have lots of things to do before going to see steve at 11 then. I have a meeting with social worker this after noon and the girls are going to youth club. At6 and elliot and I will go and see Steve. So a busy day aheead.

I have phoned hospice, Steve had a reasonable night, yes the kids are off this week followed by an inset day.

Im glad he had a good night, you have so made the right decision here. Something i thought of yesterday but didnt post. You will be able to spend (cliche alert!!)some quality time with him - as in, you can just focus on being with him when you visit, let the nurses do the practical stuff as much as you want to and have some time for cuddles and talking, even if you think he doesnt get it - deep down, he hears you, his wonderful loving wife and he knows how much you love him.

i have left steve to have a sleep, he is really tired as he has been up since 4am.

ateve was calm when elliot andi went to see him we had a cuddle and a drink then his mum & step dad came and his brother, steve started to pack his things as he was convinced he was coming home with us
he wasn't very pleased when tols he wasn't so i had to leave quickly as he was shouting and swearing and elliot was upset, i have left his family to deal with it.

maybe you need to try and limit the numbers visiting at any one time - and try and do relays so that one lot leave as the other arrive - then he won't get overwhelmed by the bustle.

Hope Elliot was not too upset.
