I have to say, OJ, I can see what Steve means about looking at photographs. It's an unbearably sad thought to imagine what he's feeling.

He is in a very dark place and i wished i could show him some sunshine

I'm sure he still has moments where you and the kids are his sunshine - just that there are too few moments like that.

I would imagine that all sweet things are bitter-sweet. I've often wondered how people who are terminally ill make that change from feeling nothing but pain and fear to embracing the life and love they've had and being able to leave life in peace.

Steve doesn't seem able to find peace at the moment, he is back on the morphine again now.

Life is too hard sometimes OJ, it really is.

It's hard enough to read your thread now, OJ - I can't imagine how difficult it must be to be living it!

Thru managing various pubs in my life I have met some not so very nice people. Have dispatched 4 of them in a BMW with tinted windows to "speak" to MIL should she turn up!!! IYSWIM !!!!!!
