Dedicated Swallower of Passion (Fruit) - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I made a suggestion, too

Um, yes, of course it's stylish - but they were suggesting i wore it to this ball I have to go to - a hand made bead felted necklace with matching felt clutch bag.

ZippiBabes · 05/02/2008 19:15

my sister likes felting and stuff, i used to do that kind of making things and machine embroidery and art but it has ra\ther gone the way of writing

i liked glued in

i read the thread and then i can't remember much when it comes ot post do you lot makes notes so that you can be nice and make sure you dont leave stuff out?

i am feeling fat..i was starving at lunch and had no money so had to buy a sandwich in the college shop and some random things to make 5 quid so that i could use my card so i got some paper and aprit stick

the sandwiches were vile..do not buy deep chicken sald gunster sandwiches dont know how they mad ehtme taste so odd

MissCreant · 05/02/2008 19:44

Zip - I will endeaver never to buy a gunster chicken sandwich!

Boco - Lol is overused on here, I must write in full to express that I Laughed Out Loud when I read about your felt class. It reminds me of classes where we would joke about copying each other and one friend in particular would always roll her eyes as I took the handouts, muttering, 'in your own time' and then when she passed them on, she would say, 'sorry about the wait' and then we would fall about laughing. I miss her. In fact I am going to e-mail her right now.

MissCreant · 05/02/2008 19:45

FMV - I made a suggestion but its hard to gauge without knowing what the event is?

BBBee · 05/02/2008 20:00

felting thatching and wattle and daub - god if this wasn;t online I would swear that you are from the past!

100 I love your sons and boco your felting tutor sounds divine. I love her. Apparently I heard she was once Iris Murdoch's lover.

pinkspottywellies · 05/02/2008 20:29

Oh Boco I also will not use lol to describe the snort that errupted whilst reading about your juvenile behaviour in your felting class

MissCreant · 05/02/2008 20:43

I think Boco is firmly in Camp Franny when it comes to flowery chocolate, Pink, I would save it for yourself.

Boco · 05/02/2008 20:50

Thanks Pink. I don't know if i like it, but i worry that it'll be like soap. So it is best that you enjoy it. If i eat soap i probably will cry though.

BBBee · 05/02/2008 20:51

I love crying chocolate and I still haven't had any and it is nearly lent so I won;t even be able to try it for forty days if I do find it.

Tell me what you are giving up for lent.

pinkspottywellies · 05/02/2008 20:59

I'm giving up fruit, veg and exercise for lent. It will be very difficult but I think I can get most of my nutritional requirements from bacon sandwiches and pancakes.

Boco you should try crying chocolate. I was wary but it's very yum. If you want me to send you a little bit to try - just a square or two - then I will. Just e-mail me your address.

Boco · 05/02/2008 22:02

Thanks Pink, that would be lovely, I really should try it before damning it so completely shouldn't I. I'm giving up whoring and crack.

BBBee · 05/02/2008 22:05

and felting?

MissCreant · 05/02/2008 22:09

oh, don't give it all up, Boco, you must allow yourself a little crack on a tuesday night. Honestly, you're no fun.

TooTicky · 05/02/2008 22:17

Franny, you can make vegan pancakes y'know. Easily.

Hello everybody.

BBBee · 05/02/2008 22:20

hey toot I am doing a day taster course of dance with belly dancing and african dancing and flamenco and exciting stuff!

How you?

Boco · 05/02/2008 22:22

Oh, ok MrsC, maybe you're right, a little can't hurt - is is so moreish.

Toot hello. There was a thread where someone wanted t-shirts printed for their children and wanted a recommendation and was wondering if your dh did that sort of stuff but didn't want to put it on the thread incase I was wrong.

Yes, I think i'll give up felting, but keep the crack.

Boco · 05/02/2008 22:23

There's a course here in hip-hop and disco dancing starting and my friend is trying to make me go. My god can you imagine. I might challenge you all to a dance off.

TooTicky · 05/02/2008 22:24

Ooh, hello Bee )
I am knackered. Looking forward to the spring and nice warm sunshine and being able to dig the garden, although goodness only knows where I will find the time.

Your dance day sounds like fun. I could never actually do it you see, because I am crap. But it sort of fascinates me.

AitchTwoOh · 05/02/2008 22:25

come on, you're all good people, briefly come onto my thread here to applaud Serenity for being so kind and wonderful, please?

TooTicky · 05/02/2008 22:26

Boco, that sounds like utter hell.

Dp does do T shirts, but I think they can be complicated. Depends what needs to go on them.

Boco · 05/02/2008 22:27

I think it was just 'big sister' and 'big brother'.

BBBee · 05/02/2008 22:27
