For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have been wondering how Possum is. Is anyone in touch with her?

OR I run preschool children's groups, entertain at parties and am 'sports coach' for 2 year olds (don't worry, we just play games and run around)

Oh, DS did 'football' classes for a while. Everyone went when I told them but he loved it!

TooTicky · 22/01/2008 22:05

I have been in touch with Possum since Christmas. She is v. busy.

Lionheart, the sort of clock that is a picture with hands. He prints onto the blank - any picture, numbers, etc.

Dd1 has organised the craft activity for dd2's toddler group tomorrow

Franny, just read a bit and then skimmed through so don't know if anyone's told you already but I've read about a clock on mn before where there is a picture of a rabbit in bed and when it gets to your preset getting up time the rabbit gets up. So he wouldn't have to understand the numbers yet just that you get up when the rabbit gets up. Does that make sense?

I ran tonight. Half an hour. And about 5 portions today. Must try harder. I've been out all day though so no time to cut up my pineapple and mango, pears are still hard, just did peas with tea cause quicker than broccoli and carrots blah blah blah excuses excuses!

I've got to go to bed now! It's gone 10

pinkspottywellies · 22/01/2008 22:08

Oh and has anyone heard from Lullaby lately? I was thinnking about her at 6 o'clock this morning when dd woke up!

TooTicky · 22/01/2008 22:11

I've been thinking about LL too.

IdrisTheDragon · 22/01/2008 22:50

We had a mango at the weekend that was lovely (sorry for all the c*ning ones out there)

IdrisTheDragon · 22/01/2008 22:51

TooT, did you get the email I sent maybe yesterday realising I hadn't actually sent the email I thought I had just after Christmas (which was late anyway?) I hope you did.

Sorry! I got distracted reading about Lotus births.
Yes, I did get the email

Oh good - was worried after realising I hadn't sent the firts one you might have thought I (a) hadn't got parcel or (b) hadn't thought to say thank you

TooTicky · 22/01/2008 22:59

I did wonder vaguely if it had arrived or not but just because I thought you might think I hadn't sent it. See? It's fine though.
But I should give you some postage money.

I made maltloaf today. Was a big success with DS who scoffed a whole piece and immediately demanded more. His friend was less impressed when, having shoved a whole chuck in his mouth realised, he didn't like it. He pulled an awful face but very politely sat and chewed it then declared, "I don't like it. It's yucky." Thankfully I am immune to the honesty of two yr olds

FrannyandZooey · 23/01/2008 08:15

PSW yes I have heard about that clever bunny clock, but did you read the bit where it says the ears popping up makes quite a noise, that wakes some children up! And apparently if you pick it up and give an exploratory shake the ears also pop up... I did read about another one, which I think is maybe a better design, where you have the face with 3 different colours on - something like red for stay sleeping, orange for read quietly, and green for time to get up. It was rather pricey or I would have got one, but I expect Mr TooT could do one. I think we need a digital so he can see it in the depths of winter. I will ponder some more.

Thanks for news of Possum.

Avi yes full moon was yesterday.
