For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have indeed noticed that franny is positively
fawning over zippi on other threads, though I concede she is writing very good posts.

100x - I have had a similar day. ds1 is out at a sleepover, his bag was packed with sleeping bag, cd's a funny alien thing and some revels. I reminded him to take his toothbrush. DD and I have had our first day of spending quality time together, as advised. We went shopping for green sparkly shoes and shiny t-shirts and then to Wagamamas which she loved.
It was good. We have had a few moments since then but I think its a start.

Well, after yesterdays shocking diet, I have [ahem] made up for it. Blueberries, bananas, apple, endame beans, wagamama rama with seaweed, peppers, greens and shoots. Then dinner was tofu stir-fry with bak-choi, mushrooms, carrots, kale, spring onions, celery and courgettes. Apple and red wine. Amen.

Gong to watch The Bourne Supremacy now. I like his arms.

ZippiBabes · 26/01/2008 20:32

yes she just pretends to tell me off here..it's all a front

FrannyandZooey · 26/01/2008 20:37

[fawn]

I have had an extraordinary sense of well being and love for humanity today, despite getting a right old kicking on a bfing thread

I think a lot of it has spilled over on MsZippi

oh MrsC 8 cm. Not bad eh?

No I had a migraine during the think tank and was excused.

Happy Birthday Tatties, hope you've had a lovely day

I had a 5.30am appearance by DS but decided as it's Saturday we all needed more sleep so I took him back to bed and asked him to go back to sleep and I think we both did.

We've been to the beach and had a picnic and boy was it chilly! But nice to have some fresh sea air

MrsCarrot · 26/01/2008 20:46

8cm, not bad, Franny, not bad at all.

I have been reading that thread and everytime I think of a good reply it has moved on again and I don't feel like a qualified ext bf yet. Some days I am very fed -up of it. The comments on there would be laughable really if they weren't so awful. Some people really are thick.

Boco · 26/01/2008 20:50

Hello
Happy Birthday Tatties, hope you've had a lovely day.

Have had a very busy and nice day. Girls went to a party so i went to a book shop for two whole hours - and had cake and coffee and browsed, then went for lunch with the woman i've been doing commission for, and she gave me cash, and i went to Norwich and spent it ALL! (bad, i know, but also very enjoyable) I have to go to a ball, so i bought a ball dress in Monsoon reduced from £95 to £20! And it's actually very nice, long and black with a kind of 20's look. And I bought a very nice bag, as mine has worn through at the bottom and I lose everything - and this one is quite grown up and lovely and leather from house of fraser with lots of lovely pockets and pretty lining. And I wanted some arm warmers as i have a 3/4 length coat and get cold wrists, but they were £19! so i didn't get any, and then i bought a v neck jumper. And that's it.

Boco · 26/01/2008 20:51

Oh MrsC we might have passed each other in the shopping centre.

Wotz · 26/01/2008 20:52

Happy Birthday Tatties

MrsCarrot · 26/01/2008 20:52

I walked past Monsoon twice today with dd to get sparkly green shoes. I bet you were in there.

MrsCarrot · 26/01/2008 20:53

we said that at the same time

MrsCarrot · 26/01/2008 20:53

nearly

maybe we nearly passed each other

ZippiBabes · 26/01/2008 20:54

oh boco wer the 19 quid arm warmers in accessorise and black

Boco · 26/01/2008 20:57

No they were in House of Fraser - there were some black long gloves in accessorize for £10 but more like opera gloves, and there were some arm warmers in accessorize for £10 but they were stripy which wouldn't go with my coat.

I was probably in there MrsC, i was in there for hours, while dp and dd2 played hiding in the sale rails together.

HaggisNeepsandTatties · 26/01/2008 21:02

I have had a lovely day thank you

This morning dp was trying to get ds to wish me a happy birthday, but he wouldn't, insisting he would say it at my party (I am not having a party)

I got $?^@££%* !!! (This was what ds gave away)

We went for a woodland walk this afternoon, took lots of photos of ds jumping up and down in muddy puddles.

MrsC, the emerald slippers sound DIVINE

I haven't been on the bf thread. I will be feeding a 3 yo soon

ahundredtimes · 26/01/2008 21:03

Oh now well done everyone, and well done me for marvellous make-up putting-on and one hand with silver nail varnish and the other with Chanel red and eyeshadow and marscareee and everything.

Am so proud, my daughter looks like a strumpet and has never been happier.

Oh well done MrsC. I have been thinking about you, but not asking in case it were boring or insensitive or something. You are right, it IS a start, and yes, there will doubtless be many more moments.

I like those arm warmer things. I have a friend who knitted her own. They are rather cool, I admire them at ballet.

FrannyandZooey · 26/01/2008 21:04

ooooh a black 20s ball gown

MrsC you mentioned goats again and managed to disguise it as a remark about facial hair [impressed]. That is about 1/3 of the total surface area I reckon so I thought it was worth bragging to you, anyway. Glad it is a good effort (and I am not finished yet, nononono)

OP posts:
Boco · 26/01/2008 21:06

Oh dear, look at these, only £2! but of course sold out

Oops sorry, treating it like a style thread, there, that's better

FrannyandZooey · 26/01/2008 21:07

oh LOL at him giving away S$£*&e! Brilliant. Bfing a 3 year old is marvellous, you can negotiate and all sorts and they are so bloody stroppy and attitudey and independent half the time, then at bed time they just sort of melt and look up at you with big doe eyes ovee the edge of your nipple

oh I got excited there for a minute, thought we were branching out a bit
