I referred to hospital Today by my Gp. I’ve had a UTI that’s been stubborn and been feeling awful.

went to hospital today and they said it’s cleared.

anyway tonight my bladder feels like it’s in spasms. I’m in agony. I’ve got burning sensations down my arms and legs and I can’t make a fist with my hands when the burning is at it worst.

my stomach is in agony.

what is wrong with me? My bloods were all normal today and I had a bladder scan which looked ok.

im exhausted and terrified

You’re clearly unwell. You’ll be terrified and in pain whatever you do but at least at the end of 10
hours, you’ll have received medical care.

I did the 10 hour wait that long ago, it’s awful so I understand. Take whatever you need - painkillers, a pillow, ear plugs, etc - pitch up there and don’t leave until you’re seen. It’s the only way OP 😞 💐

Hi OP, have you ever had a kidney scan? They should look for kidney stones. I had a scan after worsening UTIs leading to me collapsing (antibiotics only worked for a few days then it returned).
It wasn't kidney stones it was a giant non-functioning kidney which was causing infections. They should scan you if you wait in A&E. it's more likely it's kidney stones, rather than what I had.

And pushing OP for updates for your own convenience while she's in pain in A&E. 🙄

My local A&E doesn't have signal so if she were there she wouldn't be updating for a while.

Have you genuinely stayed up waiting for an update from the OP? A little bit weird. Hopefully the OP is getting the care they need they are not obliged to provide updates.

Tests can be wrong, they aren't 100% accurate.

I wonder why you make these assumptions and accusations? I am NOT excited about the OP's updates. But if you'd read the thread you'd know I've made other posts and have tried to help the OP with her questions and worries.
In her post telling us of the 10 hour predicted wait-time at A&E she told us she was terrified. She did not know what to do. I wanted to help her again. But I did not want to make assumptions, I needed real information. Which is why I asked the questions I asked.
But don't you worry your little head. Posters like discourage posters like me from answering questions when other posters are reaching out and asking. I hope you feel pleased with yourself!

UTI symptoms are horrible, but this doesn't sound like a UTI so needs a thorough investigation.

I would say you need a scan but the quick route will be to wait at a and e. I had agonising pain when my ovary burst but was told three month wait by gp. I ended up a no e and was urgently treated. Just wait it out.

Just because you urine is showing no infection does not mean you don't havevan infection. The tests are notoriously unreliable with false negatives. You probably have a urine infection.

If you haven't gone to A&E then call your GP and make it clear how ill you are. They are sometimes able to get your referred straight to the right department at the hospital and bypass A&E. This happened to me when I had a serious abscess earlier this year they sent me to the right ward and I was seen within 15 minutes.

Hey op any closer to being seen? Are your symptoms still the same?

Im no expert so don’t take my word for it but also sounds a bit like fibroids. I used to feel like I had the symptoms of a uti but results would come back negative. If they can’t diagnose anything it may be worth asking them to feel your uterus or do a pelvic ultrasound.

Bloody heck, lots of nasty people here! haha! Guys, the thread sounds a bit off because there was quite a bit of lag between posts! Nobody was excited or happy the OP ended up in A&E!!! In fact, at some point it, was assumed she was on the way to A&E so it was just idle chat [while the OP was supposedly away] not "being excited somebody's in pain".
Quite frankly, as women people with vaginas, we have to be our own advocates, particularly when the doctor has a penis (can I say that? 😶), so it's important to hear different opinions and experiences so we can better judge our own situation and see what is/isn't normal if we ever find ourselves in that place.

You acted as though you knew what could be wrong, you hinted that it might be serious, so much so the OP posted a desperate-sounding message asking you to tell her what you thought as you’d clearly made her anxious. Another poster then did a weird ‘go on tell us, @yzed , you know you want to’, which was mental, and then you said nothing.

You offered precisely no help at all. And now you’re desperately seeking more from the OP. It’s bizarre.
