For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

We appear to be in ownership of a puppy.

We are nothing if not decisive.

We have done it all wrong and forgot to ask about his mother and his father.

He is rather sweet, possibly a bit dim.

His name is Johnny Jet or Johnnyjet for Jonny-Jet. I have no idea. It's an odd name however you look at it.

I'm not sure what to do. He wants company. DH has wandered off. He and I are in the kitchen. It's like having a baby again, and dh has got something important to do.

Oh and he has weed three times so far on the floor, eaten one pen lid, one bottle lid. He apparantly eats scrambled eggs and tripe. Tripe! I don't even know what that is.

Can you hear the panic in my voice? It is that odd whining sound I am making whilst talking in this matter-of-fact voice.

The baby might just be sleeping or feeding though and it might be blissful to have ds in with you. It will be summer and light in the mornings which will help. I reckon he would understand about trying not to wake the baby and maybe you could still enjoy that time together.

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 23:00

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 18/01/2008 23:00

I don't know what to say.

I rang someone this afternoon, and then we said we'd come and look at it after school, with dd and ds2 because ds1 is on a sleep-over. And then we realized he lived an hour and a half away, and we all realized that surely we were going to buy it and then and then we stopped and bought a bed, and a toy and a large blanket.

Then we arrived.

They had 11 dogs.

I don't know what's happened.

We are all a little shocked.

onebatmother · 18/01/2008 23:00

oh, how lovely!

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 23:00

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 18/01/2008 23:03

I will post a picture of Jonny Jet when I've taken one.

Can I go to bed? I have no idea. I feel a bit embarrassed just to say good night and turn the lights out and go upstairs.

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 23:03

I don't think he will want to be on his own 100

oh god we can't have a controlled crying thread for a blinking PUPPY

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 23:04

let him sleep in your room

gwan

he is tiny

he might need a wee, or a pat

OP posts:
TooTicky · 18/01/2008 23:04

Ds2 (6) and dd2 (2) still sleep with me and it has never been a problem. Increasingly, ds1 and dd1 have been joining in too. Which is lovely, and we have good story sessions, as long as people's feet behave.

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 23:05

oh thank goodness

TooT take over the puppy advisory centre here. 100 needs to co-sleep with JonnyJet, you sort her out

I am off

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 18/01/2008 23:06

lol.

I could sling him? He could have wnaky basket. Oh how marvellous.

No, I don't think he can - can he? I think he needs to sleep downstairs for a bit, in a small space.

He seems to like his basket

ZippiBabes · 18/01/2008 23:09

100

i'm sure that you must be very dog people

how er nice that sounds..having a cute puppy

TooTicky · 18/01/2008 23:09

He will probably cry in the night. I have heard that leaving a pair of your socks (worn) on the other side of the door will help as he will think you are still there. It is CC really though
It wasn't a puppy farm, was it?

TooTicky · 18/01/2008 23:11

Or take off your socks and leave them in his basket? How does he react if you leave the room?

I didn't think you'd actually get a dog. Well, not so soon. I have to rethink you now, nubbly floors and all.

TooTicky · 18/01/2008 23:11

100x, WHERE HAVE YOU GONE?
