Not sure this is the right place for this...

Anyone else doing the Zoe Nutrition Testing?

My results were poor, so now I'm tackling my diet. I thought it was pretty good but it's clear it needs a major overhaul. So much information but finding it good.🙂

@chutneypig 3 for day 3 breakfast then 2 each for day 3 lunch and day 4 breakfast.

First ones very very much need a drink.

I also expected bigger spikes and drops. I had a couple of big drops post muffin and a spike after I finished off some ice cream but generally mine have been quite level

ladyandthechocolate · 03/07/2022 22:44

Day 2 for me today. Yesterday my monitor spiked 9.2 after some chocolate brownie! I’ve had a bad few eating days as we have guests so I’m not surprised my levels have been up and down like a yo-yo. I’m looking forward to trying to level things up.

My box arrived during the week, but I haven’t started yet as I’m away camping and doing outdoorsy things next week. When I planned the days described in the leaflet, it wouldn’t have worked for days 8-14 when you have to fast for three hours as part of the experiment. I’m going with a fairly big group and didn’t think I could stand by the seashore saying ‘hold on everyone, another 45 minutes until I can check my blood sugar’. I really want to get going though!

I still have a couple of referral codes for people who want instant access: joinzoe.mention-me.com/me/referee/registerko/104246132/415561971/er/4afb2cdd0ca26fadc095f7ed17e5162579d546e2/fe/cw?epr=1

Thank you, I’ve been waiting ages to get my invite in my inbox

MassiveSalad22 · 04/07/2022 07:33

Are these what I use to send the poop sample? I didn’t think you had to go to the post office to send…… I have no other postage things in any of the boxes. Support chat is closed for July 4! I may delay the test until tomorrow but even then they won’t be open until the afternoon because of time difference I think?

I put the tube in the plastic packaging, then in the cardboard box - then put that box into the envelope @MassiveSalad22. I've not posted mine yet so hopefully someone further down the line can confirm that's the right thing to do! Agree the instructions on that weren't as clear as some of them.

Just finished my day 3 breakfast muffins. @lugeforlife was spot on, lots of water needed. That was a real endurance event.

MassiveSalad22 · 04/07/2022 07:56

Ah that makes sense. But it says ‘post office scan here’ and tracked, but have heard people saying they’re off the the post box, want to catch the post etc. Also I don’t want to tell the post office staff what’s inside 😂

ladyandthechocolate · 04/07/2022 08:28

I took my sample to the desk at our post office which is based in our corner shop. I think it probably needs to go to the post office so it can be scanned as it’s on a guaranteed delivery.
just eating my breakfast muffins currently. They are absolutely disgusting!

MassiveSalad22 · 04/07/2022 09:31

They said this, in case anyone else has the same question! Does feel weird now to NOT go to the PO….. anyone who sent theirs in the post box, did it work out ok? I’ll wait for a few more replies before sending.

Has anyone who referred others have that show up on their account yet? I sent my referral link to a few people via MN and I know one person signed up, but it hasn’t registered on my account

Flockameanie · 04/07/2022 09:35

@MassiveSalad22 are you in the UK? UK chat is open - I just got a v quick response from a human to a question this morning.

MassiveSalad22 · 04/07/2022 10:57

Yes I got a response posted above :) chat does say they’re closed though! But seemingly they’re not.

lugeforlife · 04/07/2022 11:32

I got confused by chat too - my app went wonky and I thought I'd ask a question for them to pick up but they responded immediately and reset me! Very helpful

lugeforlife · 04/07/2022 11:40

Oh now, a question for the muffin eaters. Are they making you feel really hungry? I felt stuffed on day 3 breakfast but the day 3 lunch ones made me starving after a couple of hours. Day 4 - ate them at 7.30 and had toast by 11!

I normally have fairly small breakfasts, usually with a bit of protein so I assume this is why. I just want to EAT

Wombat27A · 04/07/2022 12:01

If you look at the muffin ingredients, they're really different in composition.

So the endurance ones are mainly olive oil & the others are mostly carbs, iirc.

I had black coffee with mine, definitely need to have liquid.

Wait for the cheese & bagels! 😁🧀

FinallyHere · 04/07/2022 13:14

Oh, I didn't spot that the muffins had different ingredients. Goodness

I struggled to eat the first lot of three for breakfast. I don't usually eat til later, no idea why I got the idea I needed to eat them at 'breakfast time'. The second and third lot were only two muffins for me so managed them much better. I was still full from breakfast when I had to eat the lunch muffins. Sigh.

ladyandthechocolate · 04/07/2022 13:31

I found the first muffins dreadful. The second lot were better but they really, really spiked my glucose levels. Feeling a bit headachy and bleurgh now. I hope the 3rd lot are an improvement.

ArrangeYourFace1 · 04/07/2022 13:36

Argh I’ve missed so much!

I need to work through the pages I’ve missed!

if anyone needs a referral I still have one left I think.

due to general life I have completely given up logging my food - what is the point after you have your monitor off anyway? Does anyone know?

Wombat27A · 04/07/2022 14:46

I did too but then found when the report was done, my meals were scored. So it would have been helpful to have more meals logged.

Otoh, I can only do so much tracking so it was nice to have a rest before the next stage.

MassiveSalad22 · 04/07/2022 15:12

I was sure my blood glucose would be bad because I have a lot of inflammation symptoms. But I haven’t gone out of green range yet. So now what! Is the gut stuff inflammation-related too? I was sure sugar would be the culprit. I’ve recently had a biopsy too for autoimmune issues to see if that explains it, haven’t had results yet so I guess there’s nothing wrong there. So I wonder if I will get any answers from the microbiome stuff… Only day 2 here so maaaaay be jumping the gun 😄

Wombat27A · 04/07/2022 16:14

Cool your jets!

I was all happy mine was in the green zone too. Wait for the report...

FinallyHere · 04/07/2022 16:22

Just discovered that I have an estimated date for my results as 15th July, a week earlier than I had expected. Fingers crossed.

chutneypig · 04/07/2022 17:11

@lugeforlife I was definitely hungry this afternoon after the lunch muffins.

When did you finish the blood sugar monitoring @FinallyHere? Does anyone know whether you can delay moving onto the next stage when the results are in? I'm going to a conference at the end of the month and don't think that'll be the place to start!

I had my biggest spike this afternoon after I ate a banana but it was less dramatic than I thought. I'm reassured to read your post on waiting for the report @Wombat27A

MassiveSalad22 · 04/07/2022 17:59

Wombat27A · 04/07/2022 16:14

Oh yikes!

Mine is now 8.1 after I stole some of DS’ cheesy chips (which is still in green zone even though Google says up to 7.8 is OK) so am panicking 😄 ahhh just so impatient!

Wombat27A · 04/07/2022 18:01

I think you can specify a start date. I wouldn't worry too much as you can log your foods and get scores and experiment. It's more informational than directional, if that makes sense?

OP posts:
ladyandthechocolate · 04/07/2022 18:54

Mine went up to 9.2 after the lunch muffins. I’m a bit worried- I’m not really overweight and I don’t have any other health concerns. That is quite high though isn’t it? @FinallyHere when did you do your muffins and testing? Just trying to gauge when I might get my results.
