Not sure this is the right place for this...

Anyone else doing the Zoe Nutrition Testing?

My results were poor, so now I'm tackling my diet. I thought it was pretty good but it's clear it needs a major overhaul. So much information but finding it good.🙂

Ha, ha, so true.

Take care with attaching the hammock. I used a camping toilet to ensure no water was present, as I am remarkably clumsy. 💦🚽😁👌

I didn't feel great on the day when I had to eat two lots of muffins. If I were doing it again, I'd pick a day when I wasn't too busy for muffin day.

Had the CGM on for 24 hours now, think it starts to be more accurate now? My lowest has been about 3 and highest has been about 9, after eating a roll with bacon, egg and potato scone!

I need to try & scoop the poop today.

I love the blood glucose monitor but it's interesting I'm not sure what counts as a spike but nothing seems to have truly spiked it yet. I've generally run below 6. More worryingly I seem to have gone into the red every night but I'm sure if there was actually something weird going on I'd have known about it before this!

@Plural I generally didn't have huge spikes either, until the last 3 days of wearing it. For me a spike seemed to be popping just into the 7s which I did with the muffins and the bagels. My normal diet kept me fairly even.

My bowel has gone shy, I was supposed to provide my sample yesterday but it's been a no show so far!

Muffins were awful to eat, way too dry and dense. Gah.

Love scanning my monitor, lowest was 3,3 overnight, highest has been 10.8 after 2 cookies! Its gone from 4.3 to 8.8 after eating the muffins and climbing ...

Glucose Goddess reckons a change of more than 1.7 is a spike, but not sure what Zoe says.

@chutneypig does your dashboard still show as processing your gut health results? I am PARANOID re the poo sample not being right and I was expecting it to have moved down to the next category given my results are due a week today......

Most meals made me spike up to 8 or 9 but they came down quite quickly and didn't dip below the pre meal levels generally. My worst meal was a quinoa salad followed by cake, that went out of range and dipped low. That was for lunch but I did notice my blood sugar dropped too low over the following night,

My best day was day 5 with the second lot of breakfast muffins actually. So hopefully that's good data for them.

Meh, Zoe 103 has me in such a slump 😄 and the app has been playing up and I don’t like the changes they’ve made. A week until my results I think, although my ‘where are my results?’ link has disappeared with the rebranding. I did get some results from my monitor but they were confusing - eg ‘this meal gave you your biggest spike; up to 7.3!’ and then the next slide saying ‘this have you a spike to 7.6’ 🤷🏻‍♀️ Plus chat support seems to have died a death!

The ‘eat 30 plants’ thing is annoying me because i already do and there’s no suggestions for that situation? My breakfast and lunch are usually vegan anyway just by chance, so that’s say 10 plants over 2 meals already on day 1!

Also listened to the Glucose Goddess episode and now I’m worried about menopause - if I already do all the glucose hacks now, where does that leave me in 10/15 years when menopause hits, there’s no tactics left? I’m already so overweight and honestly don’t know what else I can do about it (I realise weight is not the focus of Zoe though!)

Sorry, just getting it all out 😄😄

Don't worry about menopause. Remember why you are doing this. If you are already eating lots of plants your guts are probably full of tiny happy bunnies already. Remember this is a process.

Shall I cheer you up by telling you about my food today? Yoghurt from Pret, banana bread baked my by my mate, a falafel wrap a banana and then some crumpets, a strawberry mousse and a cupcake. And no walk. By my thinking maybe 2 plants all day. Now that is shite ( I really really need to work out how to manage stressy days).

@MassiveSalad22 the hacks you learn now and out into practice will stand you in very good stead for the menopause - don’t despair you are doing the right thing. I managed to swerve the worst of the menopause by cutting out caffeine and with diet - you have this!!
