For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

okay boco - you have the casting vote.

BBBee · 03/01/2008 23:48

you MUST resign straight away - I cannpt bear it if you don;t.

ahundredtimes · 03/01/2008 23:50

Right so that's two votes for and two against. Boco - You Decide.

Avi come back and talk to us about this seriously

Boco · 03/01/2008 23:50

I vote resign.

Work is vastly over rated and everyone should resign. But it would help to know what the job was, in case it's a really nice job. But then she wouldn't be tormented by it would she? And if she's having feelings of wanting to leave then it can't be a really nice job. So, it's best to leave.

I said that very succinctly didn't I.

Why don't you want to do it?

Have you finished your course?

ahundredtimes · 04/01/2008 00:03

Hiding thread nuts. Still don't know what was going on tbh.

Ahah. Okay, so you don't like the job you'll be going back to do? And you'll have to do a refresher course too.

Hmm

Can you afford to not do it?

Um, hello.

Am completely overwhelmed with this thread - I just can't keep up. You ok, avi - you're up late? I see you're pondering the job thing.

Hi 100x

OverRated · 04/01/2008 00:09

re job angst

ahundredtimes · 04/01/2008 00:09

Fair enough.

If you can afford to not do the job, if you don't like the job and you don't want to do it then RESIGN. Surely?

Not sure what is under the Pro column at present? Working generally a good thing I think, but then you've done a lot of it haven't you? And nice to take time off with ds I would guess, especially if still thinking about HEing.

Is there anything under the Pro column?

ahundredtimes · 04/01/2008 00:10

Hello OverR. We are asking probing questions, she will have an answer soon.

Could you do something different, part-time, just to give you something else to do? I'm a sahm but really miss going out to work. I think 100x is right though - doesn't sound like there is much to make you go back.

Job security - if you don't enjoy it then security isn't necessary is it?

lot of money for little hours - if you don't need the money then why bother?

no childcare needs - none if you stay home either

camaraderie of colleagues - this is a huuuuge one for me and the one I miss most.

Am no help, sorry.
