DH says my vagina is ridgy

Name change, for obvious reasons.

AIBU to wonder whether this is normal?
I know that most vaginas have ridges (rugae??)
But he says mine is very ridgy and I agree, when feeling myself.
I'm worried that it makes me feel strange or looser?
Is it unappealing for men when someone's ridges are more prominent?
Sorry, Google didn't really help me.
@Polmuggle i feel like your missing the point here. Its not about the sex act its about the fact that ops h criticised her and claims to not like something she cant do anything about. Its her internal body not her hair style!

Imagine if the op turned around and said to her h she doesnt like his foreskin, something he was born with just like any other male on the planet and he cant do anything about. She had so much dislike for it so much so that she refused to give him head or a hand job. Im sure he would have a thing or two to say about that!

Its really offensive! And to that i say if he doesnt like it dont offer it up, also goodluck to him because majority of females have ridges in their vagina. Its how the human body was desgined.

If he cant stand it has he considered dating a man 🙃 problem solved Grin
But he didn't criticise her. OP herself said it was a neutral comment!

Deela14 · 24/11/2021 19:16

@Polmuggle just because he didnt word it as an insult doesnt mean it doesnt carry the same effect.

He still choose to highlight something that op has no control over. Again if she felt the same about his dick id doubt he would be thrilled.

It gives me the same under tone as "i dont mean to be offensive but ..."

Polmuggle · 24/11/2021 19:19

I figured I would trust the OP to know how her husband meant it and not us to decide it should mean divorced

I have read every single response and have laughed at some of them. I love threads like this on Mumsnet because there is a real feeling of sisterhood.
Some posters were 100% correct, it is a sensory issue and not the end of the world. I was wondering more whether I was unusual/the problem. Now I know that we are all Henriette Hoovers together, I'm not bothered haha. I really appreciate every single one of you and we should all take a moment to appreciate how spectacular our bodies are Grin

Our bodies are amazing.
I'm not committed to any religion but our bodies, male, female, and reproduction are the thing that makes me believe in creation. It's far to complicated to be pure chance.

Nobody thinks it's chance. It's science???

And yet it is barely functional. Many women suffering with mentrual problems. Millions of sperm required as the chances of fertilization are so low. Millions of women never achieving orgasm. Women having to endure traumatic deliveries, many with long-term consequences, some even dying. It's so far from perfect that if it all had been designed, it wasn't done very well.

Trixiefirecracker · 25/11/2021 06:47

If it was ‘barely functional’ the human race would have died out surely. 🧐

That would only happen if it was not functional.

But think about it, the vagina and penis evolving separately to fit together, ovaries, tubes, womb and testis, the multiple hormones in a female body to mature and release eggs.

I can see evolution happening to suit environment, mammals all evolving from a single mammal species.
But I struggle with single cell organisim developing into a multiple organed mammal with a complicated reproduction system.

It took a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, long time. Grin

And just think, if it were creation, what sort of creator would create all the many defects, disabilities, traumas and deaths that result from human reproduction? Evolution explains it - there are abnormalities as its a complex imperfect system, with multiple scope for failure, that works well enough for the species, if not the individual. Human birth is very risky as its a trade off between the advantages of a large brain (head) vs the risk this causes to mother and baby in birth.
It terrifies me to think of what sort of being would deliberately create that though.
