Fascinating thread! I had no idea that vaginas are ridgy because I'm quite squeamish about putting my fingers into mine (and anyone else's). It's nothing against vaginas - objectively I think they are AMAZING. But I've just always felt a bit phobic about putting my fingers into dark crevices and holes (for example a hole in a tree, or even a letterbox!). Obviously I'm speculating but I imagine if I had a penis I would be fine about putting it into a vagina, but would still feel a bit ick about putting my fingers in. I'm also ridiculously squeamish about bodily lumps and bumps (if I accidentally feel a gland in my neck it makes me feel faint, or if one of the kids gets a bump on the head I struggle to touch it). OP - could your husband have one or the other of these mild phobias?

Yes I know that but still hasn't seen all vaginas to make the specific assurance due to being a gay woman.

I do think in general, vaginas have ridges (can't emphatically speak for all because I don't know and nobody has seen all vaginas) - some more than others - and vaginas are not all the same.

But my question was about saying "as a gay woman, I can assure you all vaginas have ridges". In other words, being a gay woman means she's seen all vaginas and can make this assurance.

I think the PP who said all vaginas have ridges was extrapolating; all the vaginas she has felt (which from the post would seem to be several) have ridges, therefore the extrapolation is all vaginas have ridges.
