So back story, stage 4 endometriosis
Fun. Def not pg.

Day 9 of incredibly heavy period.
Worse within last 48hrs
Incredible worse within last 18 hrs.

Blood pouring out, like a constant trickle but passing huge clots, some size of my palm with 'contractions'.

Totally saturated pad within 20mins.
Saturated pad plus through period pants in 1hr while asleep.

Obs 5.30am

2x Tranexamic acid
BP 98/77
Temp 35.4 / too low to read
Oxygen 96
HB1 110

Feeling a bit (very) shakey, dizzy, sick and a bit breathless.

On my own with my DS, 20 miles from hospital, no 111 service, have called On Call Doctor but no return call yet - 45mins

Im just scared that im going to pass out & DS will have to deal with it.

YABU - wait for call back / GP opening

YANBU - 999

Thanks

Glad to hear you were seen by someone helpful in A&E!! Good that you have gyno appointment set up. I hope you can rest a bit now you’re back home /over the weekend.

If your iron levels are low or borderline do ask/push your GP for iron tablets (and if you’ve previously been given ferrous sulphate and it didn’t agree with you, there are other options - ferrous gluconate or ferrous fumarate. Apologies if you know all this already).

RaoulDufysCat · 20/10/2021 21:03

I'm so happy to hear you are OK. I was really worried.

Hexinthecity · 20/10/2021 22:10

@TableDesk so glad to hear you got taken seriously at a and e and actually got referred for investigations! You’re right that so often we minimise our experiences and pain and get brushed off by doctors. Good luck for all the upcoming appointments, I know I don’t need to say this but I will anyway, don’t let it drop, you know your body and you know your pain and blood loss, god help anyone who brushes it off and women’s issues!

Ringsender2 · 11/11/2021 22:51

@TableDesk you're on my watchlist. How are you getting on after all the drama? Are you on better meds/ treatment?
