For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I've just finished icing a zillion of those spicey gingery biscuits for presents for the dss's teachers.

my only f and v intake today has been pomegranit juice and a lemon/ginger/honey drink. But will have lots of veg with dinner later.

TooTickyDoves · 16/12/2007 15:15

Ds2 is hot and sleepy and pale and tearful and possibly constipated

Ds1 has done a bottom painting. Don't ask!
He had to be showered and scrubbed.

TooTickyDoves · 16/12/2007 18:27

Aw Franny {{{ non-cheesy}}}

TooTickyDoves · 16/12/2007 18:28

A wheat-free one?

Tatties · 16/12/2007 18:28

Oh love

It is very emotional and powerful though isn't it, when you see your baby for the first time. (And confirms that you haven't been imagining it for 2 months!) How are you feeling now?

So pleased for you, I want to hug you

Have you told ds yet?

FrayedKnot · 16/12/2007 18:29

Great news Franny!

What date have they given you? can we start a ticker

FrannyandZooey · 16/12/2007 18:31

I just couldn't believe it, it was so odd. Still feels unreal actually and I am having to force myself to go with the plan of telling people. I still don't want to for some reason.

we told ds and he jumped and went "yay!" and then started pestering for another chapter of Alice Through The Looking Glass. That was it

lionheart · 16/12/2007 18:33

Well done, MsFranny.

OverRated · 16/12/2007 19:27

Oh, not wheat-free, sorry.

4.76cm Isn't it amazing how something so lovely but so so tiny can have such a huge impact on life?

FrayedKnot · 16/12/2007 19:28

Do you need to tell everyone at once? Can you phase it?

Although I thnk the hardest will be the first few and then after that it will seem more real won;t it

Or, perhaps DS will tell them all for you

Anyway, we all know already

littlerach · 16/12/2007 19:42

Hurrah for mini F&Z!!!!

When I went for my 20 week scan with dd1, I drank the required amount of water, then was kept waiting for over half an hour. ( I have a v weak bladder anyway ). By the time I went in, I was in tears as I was convinced I owuld wet myself. The sonographer laughed and told me to pop to the loo as she didn't need a full bladder. Phew!!! But.....5 mins later, I needed to go again!

I keep meaning ot look in here, as I view it as an oasis really. But just sooo busy all of the itme.

But I have finished my Xmas shopping. the tree is up. Food has been decided on. All will be well I think.

And...dh gave me quite lot of Monsoon vouchers today as an early present/apology for not being around for the past 2 weeks.

MrsCarrot · 16/12/2007 20:56

Brilliant news, Franny, how lovely.

We got our tree today. We went to Elveden estate and chose a seven foot one, the star touches our ceiling though our front room is tiny. They have huge St Bernards wearing antlers that take your tree back to the car on a little sleigh. Dcs loved it.

Of course the lights didn't work and after unscrewing Every Single Effing Bulb, we called a friend who luckily had a spare set of coloured lights. How disappointing it would have been not to decorate it this evening, nowhere is open now. Hooray for friends. We have had mulled wine and a mince pie by the fire and I feel very Christmassy now.

MrsCarrot · 16/12/2007 20:57

oOOH, its time for Cranford, anyone else love this?
