For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

You sound quite relaxed about having seen him zippi?

Why was tree & mince pies hard Franny?

I am burning eucalyptus, can you smell it?

I had my carrot, apple, ornage & beetroot crunchie (no juicer just a liquidizer ) It was wonderful.

Then we had roasted parsnips, potatoes and carrots, and sprouts with bacon and cream.

When DH came home and found out what was for supper, he said

"I unexpectedly had a free Christmas lunch in the canteen at work today..

including sprouts and parsnips"

I am wondering where to send him to sleep tonight as I'm not sure I want him in the same room as me

FK I think because I am a grumpy old heifer. I don't know. It was dreadful. Still is done now.

Zippi, what are you studying? I did environmental Biology and a lot of what you are doing sound like stuff I did. I hated the fieldwork though. I don't like being cold and wet. Your sleep sounds like mine. It's not much fun

I haven't heard of the Pitt Rivers museum but climbing man sounds as though it would be worth meeting up with him. If you still don't fancy him then nothing lost. I'm totally crap at online dating so am in no position to offer advice.

How lovely that an uncomfortable trip to Mars resulted in apple cake. We had banana gingerbread for lunch.

Am intrigued by 'sweet potato and lentil thing'

'sweet potato and lentil thing' =

fry onions and mushrooms, then fry red lentils for a couple of minutes, add stock and simmer until smooshy. Meanwhile steam diced veg such as sweet potatoes, butternut, carrots, parsnips, etc (I did sweet pot carrot and cauli today, was v nice). Add to lentils when done. Serve with quinoa or rice.

I am so sorry about your shopping too. I left a bag of shopping in town when I was heavily pregnant. I was so upset with myself. But by some miracle it was returned to me, so you never know...

Franny hope ds is better soon and you don't get it

Avi I love your new name.

I am going to make some Christmas cards.

think me and climbing man may have a weird sense odf humour in common..i wrote something about oxford and the goldne compass and sequiturs not being non sequiturs and he responded with something along the lines of sequiturs making cutting remarks

OverRated · 12/12/2007 02:01

lol and you and climbing man, Zippi. I like him

I am going to have to make the Sweet Potato & Lentil thing. Sounds yummy. I have saved the recipe as 'Sweet Potato & Lentil Thing' Thank you for the rcipe.

Poor Dd2, Toot. Ouch.

We did baking today. Lots of christmassy cookies for brunch tomorrow and party on Thursday. We had pretty sugar for decorating but DS ate most of it before the cookies got anywhere near it
