For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

At least you were in when they called, Boco.

How about something like this

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 10/12/2007 12:49

Oh what a lovely site lionheart

lionheart · 10/12/2007 13:31

Don't let me put temptation your way.

MrsCarrot · 10/12/2007 13:36

DD has a steiner doll from Myriad, its lovely, they are pricey though. we have eartha

lionheart · 10/12/2007 15:42

What is it that makes it a Steiner doll?

MrsCarrot · 10/12/2007 16:08

The fact that it looks like you've made it yourself with stockinette, wool and love, but really you bought it from the Steiner catalogue for too much money. They do sell all the stuff to make them too.

lionheart · 10/12/2007 16:15

I had a look on google. It says something about them having little expression so you can project your own.

Well, that and something about the war and becoming world leaders.

lionheart · 10/12/2007 16:16

Your head's an ass, by the way, Boco.

lionheart · 10/12/2007 16:16

So to speak.

Bocohohoho · 10/12/2007 16:17

I thought you meant my actual head for a moment then. I wondered what i'd done to deserve being called an ass-head.

lionheart · 10/12/2007 16:22

I don't know what an ass-head would be, tbh, unless it's a supporting role in the nativity.

Bocohohoho · 10/12/2007 16:44

Well I do normally have a rabbit head so anything is possible.

TooTickyDoves · 10/12/2007 17:46

Why does Boco have an ass head?

The geo stacking board is wonderful - lots of scope.
Also, those beautiful wooden jigsaws here
We have accumulated a few and they are a treat to do.

I left £18 worth of shopping in a car park today so I feel like rewmoving my head and kicking it around the floor for an hour or two.

FrannyandZooey · 10/12/2007 17:58

We got this from wooden toy shop in the end - for more than 7.75... ds has one and it is loved and played with so I think it is a good choice

LOL at Boco turning into Bottom

Hello lovely veggers

I haven;t clicked any of those links yet because I have bought lots of stocking presents for DS and have bought enough...

and I know I will be tempted

My tonsillitis has morphed into a horrible cold, has anyone got any good decongestion remedies?

Due to working in an a/c office when I get a cold it often lodges itself nastily in my sinuses

FrayedKnot · 10/12/2007 18:11

Oh TooT! How?

lionheart · 10/12/2007 18:14

They sell those stacky things (and similar) in the Sue Ryder charity shop here so you might be able to get it locally too.

I had salad, and corn for dinner

FrayedKnot · 10/12/2007 20:53

MrsC (was it you?) I tried gargling with cider vinegar and my throat has really improved

I have had fruit crisp (like crumble onl;y with a muesli topping) for breakfast , veg soup, a satsuma, casserole with a very few carrots and celery in it.

Not a day to be celebrating 10/10 I'm afraid.

Bocohohoho · 10/12/2007 20:56

Umm, have you tried those menthol crystals? They're dead cheap and they make you feel like your sinuses are cavernous hallways with minty winds whistling through them.

zippitippitoes · 10/12/2007 21:00

um vick or those capsule thign thatyou cut the ends off

peppermint shower gel

frankincense smells nice

ihave aten bananas apple bag salad mushrooms red pepper and chicken in yougyurt (painfully aware this the only food i ever eat so can only post it occasionally)

does anyone else eat mushrooms raw staright from the box complete with dirt pathetically rubbed off with finger..no i thought not dont tell me some horrid thing about botulism and faeces and stuff

did i tell u that climbing wall date has asked if i am interested in more than just friends as he is although we haven't met again yet and haven't been in some mad social whirl of correspondence just the odd short friendly email exchange

TooTickyDoves · 10/12/2007 22:05

FK, we have an oil blend called Snotblaster which is quite good. Steam can help. Oh, and eating a salad with tomatoes and onions often works for me.

The shopping? Oh, stupidity. I was in such a rush and just didn't put it in the car. I am extremely cross with myself and didn't rebuy the chocolate raisins as a punishment. Which has only served to make me more miserable

I have often had apple crumble for breakfast - as long as it's not too sugary I don't see a problem

TooTickyDoves · 10/12/2007 22:06

Boco, that is quite a description!

zippitippitoes · 10/12/2007 22:07

yes lord of the rings sinus cure i thjink
